Lillooet - Cache Creek have been on my list to explore further. Its amazing how the landscapes changes from one mountain pass to another.

Dude i hear you. I consider myself a relatively decent snowboarder/skier, and i routinely met either near toddler aged kids going off jumps with mom and dad and seniors who bombed down hills faster than me and my wife. Its even sadder when someone passes you pulling a chariot with their kid lol.

Im fascinated with downhill biking, its a must do on my list for my son and I once hes old enough.

I started dh biking 2 seasons ago. It’s the funnest thing I’ve ever done. I’m so addicted it’s not even funny FYI :) My kids are 4/6 and will be joining me on the mountains (if they want to) when they can. Go for it, I see kids out on pretty aggressive dh runs, going around all the big hits. As your saying, kids are better after two runs than us anyway haha.

I don't usually do DH per se but I took my son to the bike park at Jackson Hole when we were there and just stayed away from the nutter runs. It was a lot of fun although I'm used to earning my descents biking up. The lifts made it easier to get my 9 year old (at the time) up the hill though.

Kinda cracks me up, how many couples/families on the forum run Corollas and Yaris’.

Wifey’s ‘10 Corolla is at 230ish K. Our run-around/beater ‘08 Yaris is at 130K. Doing the LH CV on it today. Both been great cars.

Statistically, the Corolla is the one of the most reliable cars on the market. When we bought ours, the finance guy was trying to sell the extended warranty. I said "no thanks". He goes "Can I ask why not?" I went "Corolla". That was the end of that. LOL

Gas was down as low at 60 cents per litre here a while back. Seems to be back up to about 77. From what I heard at work, it sounds like demand is up a bit, which is why prices are up.

Yeah, It's hovering around 70 cents most places here and as high as 80 at the local gougers. It was down to 54 at one point.

    A bunch
Tons of sweet lakes to see just north of that highway. Been working for a month on the Fraser just north of there and it's crazy how the landscape and weather is so unique there. And the locals say the fishing is extraordinary for how small the lakes are.

Those trucks are starting to show their age around here, a neighbour has that body style Ram and its rockers, and bed is full of baseball sized holes from rust. Not uncommon either. However im sure neglect is a big factor.

Yeah, they don't last. A guy I used to work with has one and it's rusting out in the wheel wells big time. I would never willingly own a Ram again, but if I was forced at to do so I'd lease it.

Yes ive seen some cool stories of fishermen reeling in a local legend, a monster sized sturgeon, near Lillooet. Would be quite the site. And no doubt the mountain biking around there would be off the charts.
