Time to put the Asus router out to pasture  It's been a decent router, but no more firmware updates. Decided to go with Tp Link Archer. If anyone is running this router, I'd like to hear your thoughts

I just purchased a Queen size Purple.2 mattress at a salvation army for $250.
    ($273 with sales tax)

Tag on the mattress says it was assembled 2/4/20.

    No piss stains.
Does not smell like smoke. Doesn't even look like it has been slept on.

    Retails for $1,599!

Nice! Is this one of the older models made in USA? It’ll say on the lower box either on the sides or bottom front right. Picked one up a few years ago and repainted it. Still works great but had to add another bigger box

I bought two, one for my house, one for Ma-in-Law. AC2300 was the model. Got her's up running first, about 2 weeks later it died. No wifi. So I grabbed the one I had intended for my house, got it up and running, again, 2 weeks. Dead. When I say dead I mean no wifi signal at all, how do I know, I"m CCNA Wireless and I do spectral analysis wifi surveys. I broke out my test hardware and there was no wifi signal coming off the POS at all. The web interface was iffy. Call support...they told me to reboot it and call them back...you know the story from there.
Went and got a Nighthawk, not sure which model, signal so strong I leach off Ma-in-Law signal at my house.

But hey, who knows, maybe you got lucky. I'll never drop a dime on TPLink again.

Nice! What model did you decide on? I am about ready to pull the trigger on one myself. I have just missed out a few nice used ones on OfferUp.

So turns out I'm not laid off.

Long story short we're unionized we were able to bid by seniority on jobs considered mission critical. HR screwed up the job bids and the job requirements were incorrect so they moved me to a job I was "qualified" for by their incorrect standards but not qualified for by normal hiring standards.

So the Union has been fighting with the University since last Friday trying to sort everything out for me and at least 4 other people at my campus that were affected. So since the University screwed up and offered me a position until the end of June I'm going back to working my old job until then or until we get officially recalled.

It's been a stressful week. I'm going to buy more beer.
