Ok, time for a little help anyone? I have been working on a dealer since the craziness started. I drive a fair amount of miles a year, as my 2018 Limited Crewmax has 47k miles on it. (17 months)

The dealer I am talking to has 3 Colors Limited Crewmax
TRD, Spray in bedliner, all the normal stuff MSRP 49700. Will sell for right at 41k with including the 3k rebate, I believe that puts it pretty well in line with what we hope to see if memory serves.

Just seems like it's close to a good enough deal to consider getting back to 0 miles, and can either do 0 % for 60 or take the 3k rebate. guess that's a math question. As often as I seem to be trading, probably just use the rebate and go with already low bank interest.

So, down to a color choice or stay put? Pic is mine that I would be trading in or selling.

Oh, that MGM I LOVE but I should have added, my wife's highlander is in that color. Not positive I want to match. HAHA!

Perhaps I spoke too soon.. dealer just emailed a 'refreshed deal' from when we started 3 weeks ago. Now my trade value is 500 less than before.

I don't see this going anywhere good. His explanation is that 0% deals everywhere really drop the value of high mileage late model trades.

Guess go get the deals while you can guys! I am more likely now to just keep everything as it is and see how many miles I can get out of my Blue beast.

Just watch out for a bait and switch if you do buy. Don't be afraid to walk away. As one realtor said to me, "There's always another car, there's always another house and there's always another spouse."

Definitely not buying from this dealer now that I learn more. "200 a week drop in value is about right on these things".

I might just have some fun with him and keep him distracted from taking advantage of someone else.

I do appreciate the MGM love, but feels like I am sticking with this "worth-less" blue one. If anyone in the Omaha area is looking for a deal, I can tell you where to shop with extreme caution!

He's out of his fucking mind $200 per week. That means in 1 year you lost $10,400 in value. So in 4 years the car has no residual value? Yeah right. I would venture to say $70 per week. Not $200.

I think I caught him in his tactics. In the time between values, I made a payment on my current truck. Oddly enough, the payoff drops right at $500 every month. He is basing the trade value on how much still owe Toyota Financial. He even said in the deal how much my current payoff is, I just checked every email I sent in the whole time and I NEVER gave him my payoff. Toyota dealers must be able to see this from the financial side.

I am super glad I didn't send them more, it would have really de-valued the trade!

I guess you could respond with "Dang, I was ready to sign the papers at our original deal. Was just trying to decide which color I wanted. Oh well, sorry about your luck."

Bet he'd come back begging you to come in today and sign the papers.

Or you could tell him the opposite... "Judging by what I read on the internet, nobody wants the V6 turbo that's rumored to be in the next gen truck. So used Tundras with the V8 are actually APPRECIATING in value right now by +$200 a week. I'll come buy your truck for our original deal +$500 MORE on my trade in value."

    Have Fun!

Keep the blazing blue. It’s an awesome color especially after it’s cleaned. I had a third gen taco in it and loved it. I’ve got inferno for the tundra but if they had the blue I probably would have gotten it. The voodoo blue is nice but a little too bright. As others said the cement is alright but looks like wet primer.

then again beauty is in the eye of the beholder so it’s your truck and your eyes in the end.

Although MGM is the best color painted on the fastest trucks, I voted for you to keep your current truck. You still have a lot of life left in it and it's not worth it financially.

If you still love it keep it. I have a 2019 MGM limited. Love mine but when I was on the hunt that blazing blue was my first choice and hard to find in Indiana.

    Not many yet, mostly stock.

Id keep what you have if it’s paid for. we always want something better. I’d look around for a used low mileage one.
might be a better deal, now that some folks are having payment issues and need to un load.

Folks at dealerships are jerks. Not much respect for me for them. Such a bs game they play. Some don’t which is rare. Dread the car buying experience anymore. Just a bunch phonies when it comes down to it. Acting like your best friend and stuff. Smh
