Depends on what you paid for it. I have a Torq machine. It’s ok, but my Griots G9 is way better. You can get the Griots G9 for $150.00, so unless you paid under $100.00 for the Torq, I’d return it and order the Griots. The Griots G9 is the best polisher you can get without spending a lot more money.

I also like Griots chemicals the best for polishing, but there’s plenty of good ones. Lake Country and Urofiber make the best pads in my opinion.

If you look around Griots website or Autogeek, you can generally find a kit with the G9, some pads, and chemicals for a pretty good price.

Here is a review of the Torq fx10 by Apex Detail on youtube. He's the best in my opinion, just the facts doesn't try and sell anything.

I used a couple of the polish products. I wasn’t very happy with the results. I’ve used those pads and was happy with the results but have now switched to lake. I would seriously buy a g9. I think they have one at advanced auto $150 and comes with $20 gift card or coupon or something. Then buy lake pads and plate and some different compound polish and wax. Don’t forget about some pad cleaner it’s helpful. If your dead set on that kit order directly through them it’s $159.99 and you can get 20%ish off the order when you signup for their news letter.

I have used simple green with good luck. Also purple power which is a bit stronger.

Well I can handle that easy to get and cheap. I had a CarPro sample and it was good but if I can get awY with cheaper products with same results I’ll take it.

If you use Simple Green, go with the HD version (it's purple). It's supposed to be safe for aluminum, unlike the green stuff. You can get the concentrate at Home Depot.

I've used one, never owned one. I have a lot more experience with Griots Garage machines, specifically the GG6, which has been replaced by the G9. I believe that the Griots machines are superior to the Torq, but that being said, I do have friends who own Torq, Harbor Freight and Porter Cable DAs and love them, and those machines have given them years of carefree service. Best of luck with your purchase. One thing I would caution you against.....do not buy any of the compound and/or polish offerings from Chemical Guys....your money will be better spent elsewhere.

There are several low cost choices, not the least of which is Meguiars APC (20.00/gallon). I used Megs APC for years, until I tried Optimum Power Clean. It is considerably more expensive at 36.00/gallon, but some things are more expensive because they're worth it.....and this is one of them. I keep multiple dilutions of it on hand for different tasks, and I have never once regretted moving on from the Meguiars.

The orbital from advanced is not a g9 never mind on that. Sorry just did a little more digging. But you can order a g9 right from griot for $150 or a kit for $199 and up.

The McKee's is pretty easy...for me to lay the PC7424 down and start hand-applying...I found the heavy-ass polisher was making me more tired than the sponge. How is Poorboys EX easier?

I use this on my wife's pilot. Works and smells great but I'm sure other cheaper products are good.

    https://shinesupply.com/collections/interior-conditioners/products/leather-care-kit

Unless I need something in a pinch from an auto store I won't go away from CarPro, shine supply, and waxaddict. I went through the trial and error purchases last year and have dialed in what I use finally.

I do use a few stand alone products like solution finish though.

Question about matte wrap detail products. I see a cg matte spray and an Adams spray. I usually stay away from cg stuff nowadays. Any opinions out there on what I should use?
