Wow! It’s beautiful, even without a colour. ;)

Sadly, we figured this was likely. It makes little sense to travel, no matter how self-contained you might be, if you’ll be limited in activities and visits. Plus I know that taking Crockett to meet his early carers at Children’s is an important goal for your next visit out here; it will probably be a while before non-essential access to healthcare campuses is allowed.

We’ll just keep it on the list of good things to look forward to! In the meantime, stay well. :)

I loved the pic of Crockett working on, I think, CV’s, with you. Good stuff.

You do neat work! Do you have more time these days, or is Tony just on your short list of favourites? @fisherman951, Francis is a great resource; if have jumped on this offer.

So... I had one week off work. Shortened from 3 weeks originally scheduled. Took the one so I’d be off for my son’s birthday, and we were gonna try off-grid camping, but last week’s 4 days/night deluge killed the camping.

Anyway, the last time my kid left our yard was THREE WEEKS AGO :eek2:, when we did some exploration near Idyllwild with the @nishibot s. So today, to create one day of “real vacation” before I go back to work, we drove the BFT up to Pine Valley for a break from our neighborhood and maybe a bit of nature.

We tried a back route I know from Pine Valley up to the Sunrise Highway. It was lovely, but for a closed gate about half way up.

Never mind. We turned and came down, parked, and found a foot path which was, I think, a portion of the Noble Canyon trail. Took a walk and it was very good to be outside!05E5C557-2EEE-4B3D-A67A-2A9ACCE908C5.jpg F2B317B5-E5F3-44FD-8291-C676A82EE48B.jpg 35522234-3EF9-4DFC-BDD9-5C64F9AA4AF9.jpg A72F1C48-0776-47B1-BCB7-8970BA1CD06D.jpg 9A6E668A-DE09-4E08-9B7F-307AB47B2935.jpg F330C90A-7B66-4E9E-BF72-4CC24400F107.jpg
I’m sorry this are oriented every which way but right.

I’m especially loving this! Even “clear” days now include beautiful clouds, like I remember growing up. I think it’s the lessened pollution....

Tony is on everyone’s favorite list. I do have a little extra time. I have the week off. Should have been in Yosemite with the family.

Finally got around to installing my RCI skids after work today! If you look closely you can see I removed my sway bar too!

So I guess I missed progress on RCI’s gas tank skid. Now fits with 38 gallon tank?

okay. I figured out, my curiosity was related to design of where the bolts go— they still oriented downward so they may be sheered off, or redesigned to mount sideways or within a protective recess fo some sort?

So two of the bolts are recessed and the others have a u-tabs welded around them.

What a bummer. I understand and approve of social distancing but to me it makes sense to get way out to explore. <sigh>

My fam went out in one truck a few weeks back, just to get away from the neighborhood and concrete. But I did nothing fun er, I mean, risky ;), so as not to create potential rescue requirements. Actually stayed on an old potholed trail that wasn’t even off-road. I’ll be happy to get out again, do real off-roading.
