Hockey is the best sport to be "there"...I love going to watch the Avalanche. But not on TV.

Supercross/motocross is where its at, the risk, talent and endurance those guys have is off the charts. How long is a player on the ice like 30 seconds? Thats probably as long as their union will allow them to play.

 

You only think that because American hockey announcers are brutal.

In my unpopular opinion...skill is NOT defined as kicking a ball around for 90 minutes, skill is defined as landing an Apollo Lunar Excursion Module on the surface of the moon while trying to avoid large rocks and craters with only seconds of fuel to spare........and survive to live another day.

I don’t know ..... when you have guys getting their teeth knocked out and still come out for their next shift or getting stitches on the bench in time for their next shift , seems kind of hard to me . However they are getting paid millions to do it .

 

Not in juniors. They play harder there, too. But most of them are trying to make the big league and get paid millions.

 

I'll give you that. Growing up in Abbotsford, BC I went to Vancouver Giants, Vancouver Canucks and later Abbotsford Heat games. The Canucks were, and still are like every NHL game now, a total snooze to watch. The Giants was some seriously good hockey with massive hits, lots of fights, and fast paced game play leading to regular breakaways, big saves and talented skating. The Heat was almost as good.
