One would hope, but it’s well over 600lbs when loaded up. Quite irritating actually; I shouldn’t need a WDH with this light of a trailer.

Hey neighbor. Got that truck box mounted up yet?

If it is anything like our 1790 used to be (before it's demise by tree falling on it) the tongue weight (when loaded) was around 650lbs. That's one of the reasons we got rid of the 4Runner (which we liked) and got a Tundra.

I actually went to a truck scale and did runs over the scale with and without the trailer. With the storage up front filled with normal gear, two propane tanks and my dual 6-volt batteries I think it was 640lbs. I have a bike rack on there that sits above the jack, but the bikes were not on the rack. I'm trying to move some gear to the back, but there's limited storage and a lot of the gear in the front gets dirty...not something we want to bring into the trailer.

    Such is life...

Pull a 28’ Airstream(about 7K loaded for camping). Combo is a little over 14k. Tongue weight 940lbs. Close to axle ratings, but not over. Have about 25K towing & been over the Rockies a few times. Only mistake was going over the Teton Pass, 10% grade 6 miles long and 10,000’... I made it, however top speed was 30mph at the peak. Love the truck and anxiously awaiting the 2022 Tundra!

Looks like you have the Fastway e2 hitch, which is what I run as well. If you drop your trailer brackets down a hole, you will sit with the bars more level and take a good bit of tension off. You may take too much tension off by doing that, in which case you fine tune that by angling the hitch head down using washers till you reach the desired tension. Its a lot of fine tuning, loosening and tightening of the hitch...but its worth it.

There is a really good setup / tuning video of the E2 on youtube.

I tow a 24 ft Jayco with slide. Outside length of trailer cab front to rear 24' 1'. Overall length 29' from back bumper to hitch ball. It weights 5200 lbs dry, 6500 lbs fully loaded. I have firestone air bags on the truck and use the 800 lb/ 8000 equalizer hitch. I normally camp at high attitudes from 5,500 ft-7500 ft, and pull 8% grades. So my truck losses about 20% of its power, because of high attitude towing. That's way I never tow over 7,000 lbs.

Diggin' the MicroMinnie 5th Wheel model. Just wish they'd figure out how to put a king bed or more storage. But can't complain about the weight or width.

    How does that tow?

The Micro Minni only have a width of 7' as opposed to the standard 8' 5th wheel. A deal breaker for me. That's the challenge going to a 5th wheel and using the Tundra as the tow vehicle. The pin weight will exceed the payload of the truck. Even the smallest micro Minni has a pin weight of 1,140lbs. Add two people in the truck and you end up over the payload.

Ours tows great! I have a rear sway bar and airbags to help carry the load and smooth out the ride. We have really enjoyed our trailer. We don't miss the extra 12" of width and gladly gave it up for better maneuverability. We traveled from Missouri to Texas twice and from Missouri to Washington five times so we have a few miles of towing experience. We've purchased a home and will be selling both the truck and trailer this June. It's been a great combination and served our needs perfectly.

While I don’t advocate going over the payload rating, I think this is the ONLY 5th wheel I’d even consider towing with the Tundra. It’s close enough. Still wish it was a bit lighter as I’d love the ease of a gooseneck towable light 5er for where I live. 24ft is about max for most national forest campgrounds cause they’re tight. With several feet of length over the bed that would be ideal

Being able to maneuver into tight older campsites and having the higher ground clearance to go to more remote areas are more reasons we like our trailer. I also like the ride the trailer's torsion bar axles provide.

Wish I could afford one but just not in the cards right now. Here’s my $3000 bargain camper! It’s in great shape and I’m renovating the interior as we speak to freshen it up. Should be in it about $4500 total including the hitch and the renovation.

Crazy right? I pulled my dad's 21' that is 2400lbs dry with the Tacoma. I squatted pretty good. I recently pulled a 32' that is 5300lbs dry with my Tundra. Could barely tell it was there.
