Couple reasons, the second gens are IMO too big and heavy to really build up. I got as far as i wanted with that build and was over it. Also i was getting pretty burnt out of offroad at the time, so i sold the truck and bought a BMW ha.

I wouldn't mind a Benz or Audi...but I don't want the maintenance costs associates wort it...I love having a truck so I can just drive through large puddles of water (when we get floodings) snow, etc...some cars can't make it through....truck? No problem.

It was a 2010 335 M-Sport with a 6 speed manual. Had it chipped, it was fun for the first couple months till you realize if you actually get on the turbos you just get a speeding ticket. it was a lease so i never had to fork out anything for repairs. It was on a flatbed 3 times while i owned it...

Guy lost control of his car, came across all the lanes and nailed me right behind my rear tire. Sent me into the guardrail at 75mph. Rolled 6 times. I walked away with just a ligament messed up in my shoulder from the roof hitting it and my passenger broke his collar bone.
