During a windshield replacement, the glass company damaged my headliner and has agreed to replace it. The upholstery shop they sent me to said that the windshield will have to be removed to get the old one out and install the new one. Is this really the case? I have 2018 crew max with sunroof. Can it be removed from the car by taking out the seats?

It can be removed by leaving the windshield in. Tell them their guy is clueless and you want Toyota to do it.

Maybe @1_thirsty_tundra can give you some insight, he has a crewmax with a sunroof and removed his.

That’s what I figured. Only part that sucks about that for me is pulling my cap, that is already sealed and rain tight.

I hear you. Less concerned about getting the damaged one out than getting the new one in, undamaged.
