It delays the bag slightly if depending on where he seat is. It does have dual stage bags. I literally just have the sensor stuck onto the bottom of the seat since it’s magnetic! Lol. But at least now I have air bags

My pre-assembled coilovers came in today. The UPS driver had treats for my dog, tex! Smart idea for a delivery man.

These are supposed to be adjustable.
Although I'm not exactly sure how to adjust them. Any advice from those experienced?

Still waiting on Alcan leafs to start the job, and new rear bump stop for the one I'm missing.

@Tundra2 with 5100s the coil has to be removed and the lower coil perch has to be moved up on the notches, then coil goes back on.

I don't know anything about those blue coils, looks like Dobinsons maybe, but they may not need to move up the perch for lift.

They are Dobinsons. I'm assuming that what kind of spring doesn't matter for the adjustment. So I will need spring compressor if I want to adjust it?

Which I'm thinking I will because it looks like I'm on the bottom notch, and the rear will sit 2 inches higher than that.

    Thanks again @Darkness

Now I just feel plain stupid for paying extra for pre-assembled units.

Im no expert at all and still learning myself, so this could be wrong.

But I believe the spring does matter for the adjustment. One spring on the lowest notch could give just as much lift as another "weaker" spring raised up 2 notches. So the spring you have now could still give you a level truck even on the lowest notch. Depends how heavy your front end is too.

Also, I think its better to have a spring on the lowest notch giving you the lift you want, than to have a spring that has to be moved up to the 3rd notch to give you the lift you want as now that spring has been compressed slightly to almost artificially give you your desired lift.

Basically, I could be wrong but if im not I think your pre assembled units could still work out well for you!

You sure sound like an expert to me at least.@oscardog86

Well, I'll still order a set of compressors I guess just in case I need them on install day.

I didn't want to leave you out @chrisb. Sounds like I have a plan now! Lol

What @oscardog86 and @chrisb said sounds reasonable.

I looked at Dobinsons website and looks like they sell those clips with a stock-like shock and achieve lift, so put them on as is and see where it takes you.

If you find that you need more lift later it won't be hard to remove those things and have a shop with a wall mount spring compressor do the job of moving the coils up a notch.

I'm a rare non-believer in "pre-load" but along the lines of what Oscar mentioned, I find it much preferable to gain lift from a longer coil rahter than by the use perch adjustments.

Compressors are not going to work on dobinsons coils.

There is a technique used to compress coils without compressors. It's on YouTube. Involves using floor jack to raise lca which compresses coils then tightening top hat.

    It's awesome

The Dobinsons should give you about 2” of lift on the lowest setting

And yes it clears mostly. It just barely grazes the lift strut, I’ll modify that to eliminate the issue eventually

Got my Bilstein 5100's installed on the tundra as well as some new tail lights. I chose to set the perch at the third setting. Wound up leveling it out a bit. The shocks I took off were, not surprisingly, totally dead. On to replacing everything rusty underneath the truck and saving for a second set of wheels and tires.

So, I registered my truck on toyota.com/owners and was thumbing through the service history, or lack there of.
Only one record, oil change, and lower ball joint as covered by a recall it says.

On May 19, 2006 my truck had 29,245 miles.

My truck has literally officially been confirmed as being local with documents all this time. Its only been hearsay so far. Sold at the dealer 1 hour away from my house. Neat.

I think pops said he bought the truck in 2007, with 31,000?

Also, I remember reading somewhere that the "CK all weather" thing means you might have heated mirrors? Maybe I should investigate. It sucks driving in the winter and only having the rear view.Screenshot_20200430-014158_Chrome.jpg

heated mirrors did not come with that, the larger battery, and better starter were the major editions.

good news is most trucks are wired for heated mirrors. my reg cab was, just had to get the mirrors and the door side harness from a junkyard and a relay and switch. works like a charm

I'll have to look into it. So what wiring do I need to look for? And do you have part numbers or pictures of everything I'd need if I have the wiring?

Also, the Toyota website won't accept the VIN for the Sequoia. Yet when I was messaging with Roman whenever he was around he never said he had an issue with it. I copied, and pasted into toyota.com from our ping-pong. Very interesting.

check your fuse box and see if the mirror heater relay is there or not. if it isnt it should be marked on the fuse cover, so see if the pins are in the fuse box. My box is different from yours otherwise id get you pics
