Moustache wax  that was funny lol. I highly recommend Mas Agave by Founders. Tequila barrel aged. 10%. Perfect for when your modding your truck:cheers:

I like some sour beers. And IPAs. That's pretty much the only beers I drink these days. I had a very tasty cask beer a couple years ago but I could not hear the bartender when he told me what it was called and I have not found it anywhere since then.

When the need arises, the DC always pulls through. There is enough room for 5 people in the truck and i can lock up 2 mountain bikes in the cab if push comes to shove.

    FIFY?

I've had the 2000 E38 740i (sold), 2003 E46 M3 (traded in on my 2012 DC Tundra), and still rock a 98 E39 528i as a beater to keep the miles off the Tundra. Still have my love affair with BMW's, probably will never end.

Like I said, all opinions. I've already done enough with the truck and plan to do more that a minivan couldn't, so I do need a truck. I wanted that big ol' indoor space for dry cargo and people when the occasions arise.

I'd love to use mine, but the dealer stuck my temp tag on the bottom of the glass instead of the top. ..so just have to wait until I get my plates.

Man, I hear you there. I almost went DC because of the bigger bed, but then a co-worker opened the back door on his CM, flipped up the seat, and rolled down the window. I was done for. The best thing is that they are both Tundras. :fistbump:

CM owners start 80% of the CM vs DC fights. Never want to believe that some of us will NEVER need the extra inside space for kids and car seats and prefer the extra bed space. If Toyota would offer a Platinum DC with roll down window what other reason is there for me to get the CM IF we are to old to make kids? Will make remarks like one page back that we could not afford a CM, I reply I paid off my '16 in '17.

I had a crewmax in the past back in 2008 when the rear seat would move back and forth and you could recline it like a lazy boy. So awesome! Loved that truck and lost it in a divorce. Decided this time to get a truck with a bigger bed I could use to maybe sleep in if I change things up. An since the rear seat of the crewmax doesn't recline or move back and forth anymore (LAME! Toyota dropped the ball on this) I didn't feel the need for it. After I sat in the rear seat of the DC and my knees didn't touch the front seat, I bought it. Love the DC and it's all I need with the kids in college now.

I never had any issues with child seats in my 2012 DC......maybe it's just me. I wasn't looking for my CM when I got it last week, but it's part of the lease special I have. DC's don't qualify, had to be a CM.

Actually, Toyota polled current owners at the time and asked if they wanted to keep the slide and recline or if they would prefer the bottom flipping up for space. Customers voted, and the engineer that had come up with the sliding seats was surprised and saddened. Toyota did exactly what everyone accused them of NOT doing... they listened to their customers.

Just to revisit the Bimmers for a little more. E20, E30, E40, E50 (whatever they really call them) and so on just means what percentage of the time they end up in the shop. The 3 series always seemed to be more reliable than the 7 series and so on. You can get a 10 year old or so 760 for dirt cheap now compared to them costing over a $100K when new. They are too expensive to fix so they depreciate horrifically. https://www.kbb.com/bmw/7-series/2010/760li-sedan-4d/

I've always fixed my own, have the dealer software for up to 2015 models I think it is (haven't used it in a long while now) but knowing how to work on them yourself is half the battle honestly. I'm very mechanically inclined and have much of the tools to do just about anything on a vehicle. Time is the tool I'm always lacking tho.

    Fun fact:
I've never paid more than $800 for a BMW, my E39 I paid $350 5 years ago for it. 80k and 1 alternator later and it still starts every day faithfully. Would drive it anywhere.

They didn't listen to this customer and anyone I know. I was surprised also when I discovered they got rid of the best seat ever in a pickup. Found out several years back when I was in the market for another one and the best seat ever in a pickup was gone. Bought a 4Runner instead. The back seat in the crewmax used to be so awesome. My kids loved that truck, so comfortable back there all reclined out. Oh well, again, my opinion, Toyota screwed up. But it obviously has not effected sales.

So did they poll these same customers when they got rid of the drivers side handle? Cuz my 2008 also had one of those.

CM rear seat is also good for making babies to haul around in the future. Tons of room. I'll stop there.....

If I didn't have kids, not only would I not have a CM, I wouldn't have bothered with the tundra at all. I'd have a Taco. It all boils down to what works with what you're doing with it. Need crap in the bed and don't have kids? DC is a no-brainer. Have kids? CM it is (if the kids have legs). So what people are really fighting over is their situation is different than the other people's situation. Given that yota makes (and will continue to make) both, the argument is moot...

They can make this but not a CM with a long bed? Seriously yota, wtf? And how many postal/zip codes does that box take up anyway?

I know it sucks. Even if the 2022 Tundra comes with a damn turbocharged 3 cylinder I'll consider it if I can get a CrewMax with a 6.5' bed!

Every time I see my brother's long bed F-250 I get a bit jealous. So much room for activities.....

A CM with a full sized bed requires a much heavier frame. When I had a full size crew cab Chevy with eight foot bed it was only available as a 3500 (1 ton).
