bleed all your brakes, have someone hold the brake and inspect lines and bleeders to ensure you're not leaking.

I had good braking on my 11 Rw but the pedal would almost go right to the floor. After changing all brake components, it just like new again. Maybe a piston is stuck in one or both of your front calipers. Believe they are 4 piston. Push from both side for even braking. If I’m wrong please someone let me know..

    Hello guys,
I'm new here, I have a 2007 tundra. The brakes are squishy. I changed the pads and even bled the lines twice. To no avail they are still squishy. All 4 calipers are working correctly.
Any ideas or issues you have seen to repair this problem?

Same here on my 2007. I noticed mine seem a bit low too but I thought that's the way they are. Braking seems fine.

    LED headlamps/fogs; interior footlamps.
Its kinda normal for toyota trucks, 4runners.

As long as they take it to the limit of anti-lock locking up, its good.

The 'squishy' part is modulation, I cannot stand older brakes like on chryslers that went from near zero braking to grabbing intensely, 'squish' is much better and spreads the holding power up progressively. Luck.

My concern is that they travel about 7 inches to start breaking and stop about 1 inch from the floor. What happens when that pads wear down? Are they still safe enough to pull a heavy trailer that doesn't have trailer brakes?
They were not like this before, not definite when it started.

What is the age on the rubber hoses. I have seen them cause this.

They are the originals from the dealer. They are only 12 inches at the most coming from the steel lines to the caliper. Do you think they might be stretching? Maybe I can measure them when the brakes are applied.

One Potential fix is to find a slippery surface and slam on the brakes a few times making sure to Heavily engage the ABS system. I did this in gravel in my 2010 and the pedal engagement point came up to near the top. This supposedly exercises the ABS and makes it right. It is not normal and dangerous to have a low pedal engagement point.

My pedal engagement point is right at the top in my new 2020 as it should be.

I had this ob my 09 with 95k. Needed calipers and pads and maybe front rotors. Calipers seized was probably the biggest part of the issue.

I wouldn't rule out having the fluid replaced. It will get moisture in it over time. Just bleeding it isn't going to fix the problem.
