@OVTune Help us waiters look forward to something! Can you give us a status on these features for 07-17 folks? When Where and How? And when the "self tune" will include these for 07-17 folks?

    1. Gearlocking WITH Torque Converter lockup (when towing can you use cruise affectively)

    2. Direct Shift (when do you use it or appreciate it)

    3. Ethanol Tune (does anybody have it? I think this was a future promised feature)

I dont recall anybody posting there experience with any of these in finished working form, but if anybody else can share there feedback I would Love to hear about it while waiting.

Awesome about the potential turbo capability. Mat, I haven't emailed you in a month. Sounds like you're getting a mountain of emails and I don't want to get lost there. Let me know if you need a re-up, so to speak. Not sure how you're keeping track of all of us orders. I'm cool with waiting, just don't want to get lost. Thanks.

Mine has gearlock with torque converter lockup and works flawlessly with cruise control. Can set it in 6th and it'll pile on the boost and throttle, even if its slowing down up a hill it won't downshift. Had that since day 1 in like October.

    1. Gearlocking with converter lock up is already on many of your tunes.
It's not automatically added, you have to ask

    2. Direct shift is still being worked on for other ECUs. Actually several members here should have direct shift already, but I don't know who is who.

    3. Ethanol tuning was not promised as far as I remember, instead we were working on enhancing the stock flex fuel trucks Ethanol tuning ability.

Mat, no gear lock and no tow button is killing my towing. My truck sucks the gas in drive and I tow my camper weekly ( no sheltering in place for me, still working like a dog). Really looking forward to having these features. My truck is at 160k miles now.

I'd have to check who you are or a ticket number to see the current status.

Everything right now is just in a limbo situation with some of the stuff going on.
We are still working on everything, but had to change how we do things once our cable manufacture was hit with such significant delays. If you have seen our site half our product base is wiped out. Part of it planned for a while, another part due to COVID

Yeah, I've been following that thread. And trust me, I want the Tacoma completed as much or more than anyone!

That thread is brutal, but it's got it all... Definitely not boring.

I wish there was a way for the signature to be shown when you look at posts on a cell phone, other than turning the phone sideways. I'd put my order number and ECU there.

@OVTune Mat, look under my user name. Will that help any for identifying people on this thread? Or am I just being a huge nerd...

I've considered doing precisely the same thing, but then thought about how seldom I look at signatures myself... Not a bad idea though, naturally!

Got it thanks for the update. #5221 is my order and you had hard drive failure so couldn’t get my base tune revisions done. I have been waiting for base tune update and working features since December but I guess a lot of others are ahead of my ticket yet! As much as I would like to yell to hurry it up for me get truckytruck done before me he has to be the oldest (patient) waiter and most loyal fan on tundra forum. Can’t say the same about myself...

I've had Gear Lock since my initial base tune almost a year ago, and have reviewed and commented on it and the tune multiple times in this thread. I understand this is a long forum thread...I will sum it up for you...It Works.

My tune is pretty much done with no further revisions needed. Simply waiting for the finalized patched version myself.

Do you have to hit the tow button or just shift into S?

When I had my truck on the Dyno, I had it. But somewhere along the updates, it stopped working. I just figured it would not be there until the direct shift was available for my ECU.

Gearlock with torque converter lockup was what pushed me to buy this tune. Other features are awesome but I want to tow locked and loaded... so good to hear it’s working well.

@OVTune since I requested gear lock with torque converter before I got the base tune and then only received gear lock without torque converter lock. Does that mean the features is still being developed for my ecu or an oversight?

Could you add that to my base for a quick update to my base tune if you don’t have time now for fuel changes, direct shift features or flex fuel updates? That would make me 90% happy and get me off your back for a while! Order5221

I think that this is a safe assumption, I have the GL but not the Converter Lock as well. My TCU may not be finished yet, I'm not fretting it though.

I think that he's probably going to wait until he has them for all ECUs rather than jumping around from individual to individual. FWIW

It looks like the Tacoma is getting close to final, so we're getting closer.
