    Function before sparkle.
    That IS an unpopular opinion.

The best Toyota ever made was and continues to be the 70 series Land Cruiser. That’s fact, not an opinion.

Or the 1980 4x4 pickup. That was my first pickup when I was 16 and dad bought it new off the show room floor in 79. I wish I wouldn't have ever gotten rid of it.

I was pretty partial to the '94 4x4 pickup which was my first vehicle. Wish I still had it.

Yep, one the best build motors. You just have to replace everything around that big block motor. (sooner or later)

This is my DD. 2001 Ford 7.3 liter Diesel Super Duty E350 Van. 2 inch lifted 2wd, 265.70.16 A/T tires with 335,000 miles and gets better mpg then my Tundra and hauls more! Some folks think it's a Quigley van. It does sit just as tall a F350.

Such a blast to drive too. People double take it all the time, because of that motor. lol

I could go for it to be bigger. Park next to a 350/3500 class truck and my Tundra looks small to me.

I could go for this, but only if the are going to give us 2500 and 3500 performance in it.

Nice van! I love my 7.3, never really gave me any problems, just accessory stuff like alternators, etc. 294k original e4od shifts great still. She doesnt get driven much since I've gotten the tundra.Snapchat-1297751486.jpg

I'm not sure if it was gas or diesel, though. I know he replaced it with an F250 Triton V10 (gasser), even though he used to tow his 5th wheel halfway across the continent with it.

    My unpopular opinion.

    1) Double cab looks like you couldnt afford a crew max. I'm not hearing it about the bed either. No one cares.
    2) Bed toppers, campers, shells or whatever you want to call them look like poop.
    3) Interior wrap is rice
    4) Lifted 2 wheel drive trucks are dumb
    5) Super wide wheels without flares look like you could afford one or the other but not both.
    6) Light bars/extra lights all over the truck are dumb for a DD. Love seeing that in the Target parking lot.
    7) Windshield tint strips. Its for teenagers. Be a man and tint the whole damn thing.
    8) All those lights under the tailgate are manufactured by, sold by and look like Auto Zone.
    9) Aftermarket Ebay headlights are all junk. Same for tail lights and third brake lights.
    10) Overlander trucks are like IPA beer. People drink them knowing they all taste like shit but everyone pretends to like it because its what everyone else is doing.

Love you all and as always, thank you all so much for the help on the forum and I hope I can pay it back one day.

I can't argue with that unless the '79 MGB the wife owned when we got married is considered a sports car then we argue because that was a complete pile of shit. lol

I didn't want to buy new and I didn't really need a CM. I wish Toyota would have made normal looking door handles on the rear DC doors. Whoever designed them really effed it up.

I've seen more oil leaking from Mustangs alone than all the Euro cars combined that I've had experience with.

And I've seen the exact opposite while working in a shop in the early 80's. In fact we rarely saw Mustangs come in for other than regular wear items.

I've owned 3 BMW's, they all leak oil. You'll never seal a BMW motor no matter how hard you try, 2 months later it finds it's way out.

For as many unpopular opinions as you gave us I have to say I agree with almost all of them! well done! I think someone else posted earlier about "overlanders" being a new way of saying "car camping" and I agree with that. IPAs are delicious, if you dont like them dont drink them.

Agreed. But it was not always so. Many fledgling microbreweries used to just dump tons of hops into their beers to cover up what would ultimately remain an inferior beer. I never liked the IPAs that taste like drinking a bottle of perfume.

    Thankfully, much has changed!

I had a brief love affair with BMWs. I'll probably get another one someday, they're like that girl you know is crazy, but she does that thing you like...

I love scotch and bourbon. I can't stand IPA's. I actually rarely drink beer at all anymore.
