Good stuff, thanks guys. I'd snag some stuff from Amazon, but they're taking forever to ship stuff that they deem "non-essential" these days. I'll check out Shine Supply, but I think exchange and international shipping is going to kill that option for me.

Tons of good car soaps out there. WalMart now carries some Chemical Guys products.....to me Honeydew was better than Mr. Pink. CarPro Reset is probably one of the best soaps on the market, but it's a little on the pricey side. If I'm doing a coated car, thats what I use. For non-coated vehicles, I'm using P&S Pearl Auto Shampoo.....very reasonable at about 20.00/gallon... good cleaning power and lubricity, and tons of suds. If you have an Autozone nearby, they also have been carrying Jay Leno's Vehicle Wash....another very good soap, but you have to like the smell of cherry cough syrup.

For carpets and upholstery, I've been using Chemical Guys Fabric Clean diluted 10:1

A lot depends on your budget, and what else you want to use it for. Ideally, GPM should be around 2.0 GPM. PSI is a lot less important as it pertains to washing a car. You simply do not need 3400 PSI. If you go electric, you can spend big bucks on a Kranzle, or something professional grade but more mid-price, like an AR 630, or you can do like me and buy a lower priced unit. I have a SunJoe SPX3000, rated at 2030 PSI and 1.76 GPM, both of which are overstated. That being said, it does an excellent job and produces good foam. I did remove the 1.25mm orifice from the foam cannon and replaced with with a 1.1mm orifice, which did improve the foam considerably.

So I washed my truck this weekend and the surface got plenty wet. I felt with my hands while wet as well as actually stepping on it and it's just like stepping on the plastic not coated like before. Very happy with it! Cleaned up easily too!

Not a big Chemical guys guy. But not much invested there. So use it up. Diablo and the citrus wash and gloss are good products. Happy detailing

I've not used that brand of foam gun, but I do like using a foam gun in general. The only Chemical Guys products I've used from that photo are Diablo and Citrus Wash and Gloss. Both were decent, not spectacular. Diablo is an average wheel cleaner, but I've since moved on to Sonax and been very happy. The Citrus Wash and Gloss is a nice car wash product, but as far as CG stuff goes, I liked honeydew snow foam better. There were some folks around the internet saying that if you used Citrus W&G at a high enough concentration, you could strip exisitng waxes....never found that to be true.

CG stuff generally gets bashed.....but give your stuff a legitimate go....you may find that it works well for you

I like the Tire Kicker. It leaves a nice finish. I have the Banana Spray Wax, but haven’t used it. The Diablo wheel cleaner was pretty awful. The Power Cone is great for wheels. Haven’t tried the others.

I go through 6 of the 5.5 inch pads....and 2-3 of the 3 inch......will be giving the Tundra a full detail including decon, correction, polish and seal this weekend. That might be overkill......but I like working with clean pads.

If you use a brush or air compressor, can probably get away with using 3-4 pads for a full job. Every other pass or so, brush or air the pad clean to keep it fresh.

I only clean them afterwards. I just use a bunch so I always have a fresh one. I don’t wash and reuse in one sitting. I do the same with microfiber towels.
Of course, this only works if you don’t mind buying a lot of towels and pads.

So I'm looking at Lakecountry 5.5" pads and not sure whether to get the Flat cutback DA pads or the CCS pads.
The DA pads are open cell for better cooling and the CCS pads are closed cell but have the small pockets for cooling.
Anyone used these and care to comment on how they compare. Price is the same by the way.

I read the two pads that Turtle wax supplies with their new black ceramic polish are the ccs pads.

OK, non-Tundra/car but detailing related. Whenever I do either of our vehicles I do it the right way, correct, hand wash, Powerlock, etc. I also am old with a screwed up back so I do it in the garage, it takes all day, and I hurt for 2 days after.

That being said, I also have a 2014 travel trailer that I have never washed or detailed. I'd love to do it right, but currently we are already into out 100+ degree days and I also know that my back can't handle it. So my thinking was something is better than nothing and I'd really like to clean it up a bit. I was thinking (until I can devote a few days in cooler weather to do it right) I would try one of those wash and wax products with a telescoping soft brush. This is what I'm looking at now, any thoughts?

I started a little side job for now with family members to detail there cars. I've always have had people like the way I keep up my cars so I thought I would start and take care of there's as well since some people don't have the time or patience to keep up there own. When I finish a vehicle and turns out great I feel good knowing that I did that my self. This polisher I bought is my first one ever. So I hope I picked a descent one to start with. I have been doing all of them by hand so far but my shoulders are killing me......lmao. also wanted to know what are good polishing chemicals and what products you recommend that are not crazy expensive but are good for the side job

I have a bad back also, so I know the feeling. I haven’t done a travel trailer before, but I have this telescoping pole for my pressure washer. It works great for cleaning the outside of the house. Don’t know if it’s something you’d care to buy, but I bet it’d work great on your trailer:

    https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI-1...-Brush-for-Pressure-Washer-RY31EP26/306199299

As for the wash and wax, I’ve never used it. I assume it’s fine.
