    A bit frustrated.

Just started my search for a Tundra. Looked at several online and few in person. Found one local to me with the following specs
    2013
    4x4
    V8
    60k miles
    Favorite color
Lifted, big tires in good shape
Heavy duty rear and front bumpers with a grill guard
    Big locking tool box
Looked to be in excellent condition (but the engine area was dirtier than I had expected)

    Only $22,000...

It was just posted a couple days ago. I saw it in person at the dealership and it was in the shop getting maintenance. Before I could even test drive it today the salesman said it was sold.

It seemed to be such a good deal and I was still doing some research on it... but it seemed to be exactly what I'm looking for. So a little frustrated.

I do think we may be entering a depression so hope to find some similar on the market as people sell off their trucks.

    Not many yet, mostly stock.
Sorry you missed out on what appeared to be a great deal,
Hopefully the country is not headed to a depression. Think positive and positive things will happen, most of the time. :crapstorm:Good luck

    LED headlamps/fogs; interior footlamps.
That is very Normal, before the pandemic, now and going forward.

That has happened to me several times with different types of vehicles, folks tell you them have it, you tell them you're driving over, they say 'OK', on the way there they call and say sorry just go sold.....been there several times.

The economy is not headed towards recession or depression, it will bounce back by end of summer and get better and better....start shopping...ebay has great deals, just gotta shop....

I just bought a 2019 limited end of last year. I told the salesman I would be back the next day to buy. When I called the next day it was at another dealership being test road...... I was pretty pissed I almost lost the truck and it was exactly the one I wanted. Got to move quick on Toyota trucks...

Hey man, it was me who bought the tundra. I ended up on the side of the road while driving home with broken transmission and blown head gasket. Just kidding. Don't beat yourself up over it. There will be others, just be patient.

Its OK man. Now you can get a 2014 and up! Personally, and its just my opinion...but, I think the rounded, bubbly front ends look a goofy on those tundras...

Shit happens, gotta be ready to move quick when you find one you like. I found a 2014 with 85k on it I really liked, and the guy sold it the day before I was going to drive down to buy it.

It's tough because it's certainly not being impulsive and buying something with hidden issues. Do your due diligence and have a mechanic who will look at it for you on short notice.

Look at it this way. How many poor decisions get made when someone is rushing into something not thinking it through properly? It wasn't meant to be.. probably was a lemon...

Yeah, sometimes deals really are too good to be true. A "steal" on a Tundra probably isn't a steal for the consumer.

Better to find one that hasn't been rode too hard and put away wet. As stated, when you find one that interests you, you have to be ready to go at that moment. Good luck on your journey!

When I got my 08 I had called the dealer (not Toyota) to tell him I was on the way. Before I got there they let someone else test drive the truck. I was a little angry to say the least. I looked online for another deal nearby and went to see another truck which I didn't care for. Meanwhile the guy who was test driving my future truck had taken it to the Toyota dealer for a checkout and ended up back at the non Toy dealer and long story a little shorter he didn't get the financing he needed. Salesman calls me and says please come look at the truck. So i was still close by.....loved the truck.......was given a clean bill of health by Toyota dealer at no charge to me........and I got the financing and the truck.....HAPPY ENDING!

I test drove an 08 DC, awesome shape, $12,800 200,000 kms. I saw it on cargurus for several months. Was intending to buy it, had to get my finances in order. The day my wife and I are set, i ring up the dealer to put down a deposit and he said someone from 3 hours away was coming to test drive it. He called me back a few hours later to let me know it sold. Later that day i see my now CM on the classifieds, 240,000 kms, all seasons and winter tires, bed cover, bought it for $12000.
