I have entune. I for some reason can’t do the remote connect. It comes up with this feature isn’t available on your vehicle. Am I doing something wrong or is it just not available on the sr5.

I have messed with it for hours. I have deleted my vehicle from the Toyota app and rendered it and nothing come up just shows articles I can’t read and my truck info. Nothing about locking unlocking it. Nothing! The only thing I didn’t agree to was the insurance question.

My SR5 I picked up Thursday has the remote services and safety connect on it. With the owners manual pack in the glove box there's a pamphlet that explains doing it. Firstly to make sure your pickup is actually set up for it, press your APPS button on your radio, and see if it shows up with a authorization code button with the wifi and entune button.

The yota owners app is just the starting point of the setup. Create the acct there, then theres a toyota app it has you install and use the owners app login information to login to the yota app, then you put your VIN in (you can take a in app pic of the VIN off the window sticker to input it), accept a bunch of disclaimers that I didnt read and probably should have, then it will email you an authorization code, go to your radio and put that code in (6 digit number), cycle the ignition off then back on if I remember right, and within an hour it should all be synced up and running.

This is the app that actually functions the remote services for unlocking, starting, locking, and last parked location.

Thank you. I will try that. I have the red Toyota app and I’ve set it up. All it shows is my mileage how much gas I have and the tire psi and some articles I can read. It doesn’t have the lock unlock remote start nothing. Is there another app I need.

I'm thinking that maybe it was the insurance disclaimer you declined that might be the issue. You must have gotten the fuel and tire info from the yota app, means the pickup is talking with it....so must have done the authorization code as well I would think.....

If I may ask, why did you not accept the insurance thing? I didnt read it....I just accepted everything and it worked.

I didn’t accept the insurance thing. But also now that I finally have cell service. Entune had an up date on it and so did my cell phone. I reset my radio and did the update on entune and am doing it on my iPhone XR I think it is and in a hour I’m gonna go back repair the Bluetooth I’ll accept the insurance thing and see if that does anything if not I’m calling Toyota. Last night I thought about is there two entune? Entune and entune 3.0? If so and you can only have remote connect on the 3.0 why even have the app on the truck if it can’t be used. It’s like putting a light switch on the wall but no way to connect or use it? This also might be way easier then I’m making it I’m just a girl from the country that loves Toyota and needed to upgrade from the Tacoma and can be technically challenged from time to time. I’m a very hands on learner.

Entune has nothing to do with remote connect. It basically is just a yota specific app that does about the same things as apple CarPlay and android auto I believe. I had it on my 12 and found it to be clunky and annoying as hell and got rid of it. I haven't tried it on my 20 yet but according to my salesman when we were talking about it it sounds like this will probably be the last year entune will around.

Do either of you have the pamphlet with your owner's manual on setting up the remote services? I can make a pdf of mine if needed.

I have a 2021 TRD Pro. I tried signing up for remote connect becuase I accidentally locked my key fob in the bed of my truck while on a fishing trip. When I get to the end of the signup/purchase process for remote connect it gives me an error message “unexpected error. Please try again”. I have been trying for a week and have used different iPhones and a Labtop and get the same error message each time. Other services through the app do work like tire pressure and mileage etc.
