She doesn’t actually. She questioned me about my PNW sticker and Tundra lettering on tailgate.I told her she owed me For agreeing to purchase a refrigerator microwave and dishwasher combo for her before our wedding and I said all those things were working but she just wanted new ones and that it all matched. So I still have a little wiggle room where I can get a few things that I want and I told her I’m going to spend the stimulus check on stuff for myself and she said no way. I run the books though.

Dropped the wife off at Costco and went for a drive. Cranked my favorite Spotify playlist and did some full throttle pulls to clear the head. Amazingly refreshing.

Getting reports that the Kirkland store has TP, but no paper towels, whole chickens or frozen blueberries. A buddy is looking for Kirkland Sangria and there's half a pallet worth if anyone else is needing some of that fireside juice.

The parking lot is about 20% fully and yet people are still blocking traffic to get a up-close parking spot. No shit...blocking an entire row for 3-4 minutes with their blinker on while someone loads their vehicle and there open slots next row over. Glad I don't have my dream ARB bumper or I might be tempted to move them...

Guess Governor Inslee signaled today he may need to extend the "Stay home" order. Gotta side with him, don't think we're thru the worst of it yet.

    Take care everyone...

Looks good! Looks like you are blacking it out? Any plans for the bumpers?

Funny you asked...Literally was going to spray them black today, but looks like I only have about an hour before the rain hits.

I have plastidip and auto dip so I’ll be using one of those on the front and rear end caps. Just temporary for now...My buddy does vinyl so he’ll be wrapping them when he has time. I’m also switching out the fugly side steps that came on the truck. Been slowly blacking it out, bought the truck last June.

It's looking good! Color matched bumpers will look great. What side steps you going to go with?

Going with the drop step style. Predators, Raptor, N-Fabs...just haven’t decided on which brand to go with lol they all look good. I’ll be doing shocks before the nerf bars though. Leaning towards the bilstein/toytec setup.

That's a good setup. A lot of people go with toytec.

I had nfab steps on my 17sr5. I like them. They worked perfectly. But I recently got into hunting more off road, so went with sliders for more ground clearance. I bent one of the steps, not bad, but figured before I damage them more I need proper protection.

Yeah I wanted sliders originally, had them on my Colorado and worked well. The price tag on them for the Tundras are a bit much though haha the drop steps are more practical for me now—I won’t be beating up the tundra like I did with my Colorado

It's up there for sure. Taking the 542 up to Artist Point by Mt Baker is another good one. What are your top picks?

That's awesome. I went to school at WWU, that was always one of the best motorcycle roads. The uphill right hand corner going north from the oyster farm... Just amazing

My wife and I went to WWU too...we have many fond memories parked on that road...lol. And of oysters and the Oyster bar.

That drive out to Baker is nice...actually anything out that direction (NE) from Bellingham is fun once you get into the farm land. I love hwy 20 as well.

Yeah, I live in Seattle, but still love getting out to the north Cascades off Hwy 20. No where near as busy as any of the trails / hiking that are off I-90 or Hwy 2.

Any hiking / camping spots out that way that you'd recommend?

We're not big hikers, so haven't done any hiking off hwy 20. Normally we're hauling thru to see family in the Methow Valley. One of our favorite camping sites in the area is Mineral Park. It's a way off the road, so no noise from Hwy 20. We go up there every year with our trailer and just relax on the river. There's apparently a ton of good hiking in the area as most of the campsites are filled with people that go out on day hikes.

We are camping at Diablo Lake this summer (hopefully) for the first time.

Diablo and Ross Lake off hwy 20 are good hiking spots. I too went to Western.
