So I'm not really sure how to do this build, but was encourage/supported to start this build. And being that I plan on keeping this truck a while and chip away at the mods, I figured why not.
So, the way I'm going to try to do this is by starting at day one and add pics as I go and do the mods. Any support, ideas, thoughts, advice, etc. will be accepted.
August 25, 2017 I traded in my 2011 2wd 5.7L Crewmax for my 2017 4wd 5.7L. I knew in the beginning I was going to lift it, modify it, etc....so I only picked an SR5 knowing certain features were going to be changed out or not wanted. This is my daily driver driving myself to and from work, as well as kids to/from daycare...making my roundtrip about 60 miles. First thing I did after I got her was bring her to the tint shop and tint her with 5% on back windows, with 15% on the 2 front windows.

Around January of 2018 I installed the remote start form James at tech12volts.com. Install went pretty well and unfortunately I didn't really take any pics. But had an issue and reached out to him with him helping me diagnose. After having it for a few months, it had started having issues by alarming when I activated it, but after resetting it, I have never had another issue again! Absolutely love it and would highly recommend it!
September 20, 2018 I went ahead and paid her off! It was one of those things that my wife received her bonus and we had the money set aside, so we went ahead and just knocked it out. Don't worry, debt came back cuz we bought her a new minivan not long after that! haha.

February 4, 2019 I purchased my 6" ReadyLift kit with Bilstein shocks for the rear since it went on sale for about 25% off.

April 20, 2019 I installed the LED headlights/foglights (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074GX852M?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074GZ3S4P?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) and JDM switchback turn signals ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017C6B5IU?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) after one of my fog lights went out. Install is pretty straight forward, but ran resistors in my tail lights to keep the switchbacks from hyperflashing. At stock height, I set them one notch from 0 and haven't had anyone flash me. The brights aren't the greatest as they seem to shine a bit high, but where I drive, I don't need them and they're plenty bright for when/where I drive.

November 29, 2019(black Friday) I purchased my wheels/tires on sale from MrWheelDeal on sale. I had used them before for wheels/tires for my 2011 and was pleased with their products/prices/customer service.

February 28, 2020!!! I put my 6" ReadyLift with Bilstein 5160's in the rear on at my dad's mechanic shop with a friend of mine that used to work at an offroad shop. We didn't get as many photos as I wish I could have since it was just us 2 doing it and not as familiar to keep stopping and taking pics. Especially since we were both very busy and knew that this was an estimated 10 hour job. We got started around 7AM and finished closed to 4:30(pretty close to what was said). I got a pic of my buddy cutting the cross member because I couldn't find the courage to do it...haha, but really, it was difficult watching and being a part of cutting pieces off my truck.
    20200228_102057[1].jpg
The install actually went fairly well without many issues. ReadyLift did a pretty good job with instructions and some people I talked to that worked there on Tundra Forums and/or IG were pretty helpful. Only other pic I got was a layout of parts before we started.
    20200228_102103[1].jpg
Here is a couple pics of it the moment I rolled it out of the shop.
    6" ReadyLift with Bilstein 5160's
HardRock Offroad Painkiller Exposed 20x10 -19 offset
    BFGoodrich KO2 325/60R20 (35.5/12.8R20)
    20200228_165525[1].jpg 20200228_164458[1].jpg
After I got home, and taking a couple turns on the way home, I noticed some rubbing. I knew this was coming with my offset and tire size, so I had already ordered the bumper spacer kit from Boss Offroad then installed it in my garage at home. Easy install and gave me 1/2" extra clearance.
    20200229_104232[1].jpg
    20200229_132448[2].jpg 20200229_132457[1].jpg 20200229_153508[1].jpg 20200229_132508[1].jpg 20200229_153516[2].jpg 20200229_153505[1].jpg 20200229_132514[2].jpg 20200229_153520[1].jpg
I went ahead and brought it to an alignment shop the following day to have it done. Was done at an old school shop that does it the old school way. I had experience with them on my 2011 after I leveled it and they did a great job on that one as well. So easy decision to have them do this one with my lift!
    20200302_074650[1].jpg
Decided to install the rear diff breather and run it from the diff to above the framing and behind my driver side tail light. I went behind it because I didn't want it to rub or interfere with the tailgate's hydraulic. Installed it with truck on lift to take off the suspension so it would be at max extension. Very easy and CHEAP mod to do for a little extra protection. 20200320_073508[1].jpg 20200320_075954[1].jpg 20200320_080726[1].jpg 20200320_080650[1].jpg 20200320_080756[2].jpg 20200320_080716[1].jpg 20200320_082046[2].jpg 20200320_082035[1].jpg 20200320_080747[1].jpg 20200320_082108[2].jpg 20200320_082922[2].jpg 20200320_082112[1].jpg 20200320_080708[1].jpg

I have been very happy with it all. I still have a small bit of trimming to do to eliminate/reduce trimming while turning at full lock. May have to do a body mount chop as well. More to come and will update as it happens. Thanks and enjoy. Questions/comments/etc welcome!

Couple small updates but I feel pretty useful for the truck. I forgot to mention that right after I got the truck in late August in 2017, I ordered one of these off Amazon for about $20 for the monster cavity under the front armrest. It's been pretty useful and hasn't given me issues(it shouldn't really since not really complex). Cheap and easy mod for anyone wanting one of these organizers.

Beginning of May 2020, my friend had some tow mirrors that he had ordered from 1aauto.com for his 2018 Platinum. The BSM didn't work and would flash constantly. So he called the company and they sent him another setup, then told him to keep and do what he wanted with the "defective" set. So he reached out to me and I acquired them for the amazing price of $FREE.50! I was wanting a pair anyway since now lifted and have a tandem axle trailer I use that I had issues seeing contents in truck, but knew now would be especially hard. Here is a link to the ones I had gotten from him. Loving them so far! https://www.1aauto.com/2014-19-toyota-tundra-mirror-set-trail-ridge/i/1amrp01768?f=1074674&y=2017

Also had finally got in my B&W Tow&Stow 7" drop hitch with 2" and 2 5/16" balls on it! Liking it so far and how strong it seems. I found it on amazon for $275 when most others showed it for $300 or more. I'll include link. Haven't had an opportunity to tow with it yet but can tell it will do just what I need it to do. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000S0I1O4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Had also recently washed, clay, polished, and waxed it, so she's kinda clean right now.

So I'm kinda surprised I missed these items, but they're in the bed and since I'm short, I guess I overlooked them haha.
July 17, 2017 (before I purchased my current tundra), I bought this Tyger bed cover for my 2011 CM for a vacation and the recommendations from members on here and FB pages. It surprisingly fit onto my 2017 pretty well considering it said it wouldn't because of the difference in tailgate bed cap. It has lasted me until now and is still holding up just fine. Easy install, easy functionality, good price, and keeps my contents from flying out and mostly dry. It does allow a little bit of water, but I don't have any real intentions of keeping something I need waterproof in the bed of my truck. Also see other pic below of swing case to see how it clasps down and installs in truck. Link here.... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00L32LT2W/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
    20200509_201243.jpg

About Oct. of 2017. I needed a bit more storage. Since my 2011 had the reclining seats, I had all of my straps/chains/bungee/etc behind the seat. After hearing about them, I ordered a Undercover Swing Case from Blueline Expedition Outfitters. Have put my quite a bit in it and have enjoyed how easy it is to get stuff out of it including the fact that it can come off or even be locked to the truck, and locked closed. You do have to drill a hole, and you lose one of your tie down loops. This link was the cheapest I found, plus used a code AOT10 for an extra 10% off! Great looking truck! Did you notice any change in mileage after the lift/tires upgrade?

oh absolutely of course! haha. the wheels and tires i have increased by about 40 lbs at each corner and about 3-4" diameter over what I had previously. I have been falling around 13.5-14.5 MPG's, but I drive mostly highway/interstate. So lots of cruise. I was getting around 16.5-17.5 before I jumped up in tire size and lift. But having a previous Tundra with the 5.7L V8, I knew this one with the same motor and now 4x4 was going to be about the same or worst. But larger tires later....getting worse MPG, but that's the be expected with a Tundra with larger wheels and tires. Most people in this situations are getting around 8-12 MPG's depending on their driving habits, size tires (width and diameter), elevations/environment, etc. Gotta pay to play haha

Was curious because I was averaging 14-15 MPG in my 07 double cab 4x4 with a 3" lift and 33" tires. Debating on whether I should go bigger on my new 2020 Crewmax. Thanks for the info.

Nice looking truck! Do you happen to know what your overall height is? I'm going with the same setup, 20x10, 35s, 6 inch ready lift and was looking to see how tall the truck ends up at. Any details are greatly appreciated.

Thanks man! So 2 things I want to make sure you know I have.
1.) I have the 6" ReadyLift with the SPACER lift, not the coilover kit. I'm not sure which one you've got.
2.) I have tires that measure true to 35.5" tall. A lot of "35 inch" diameter tires measure around 34-35".

With that said, the last time I measured I believe it was at 6'-10". My garage door is an 8' tall door and 10' wide, so I know I clear with plenty of room with lift and tow mirrors. I can try to measure again today sometime if I remember after work to verify.

Cool Thanks! I'm going with the readylift spacer lift, not coilovers. Your truck height gives me a good idea if i'll be able to fit into the garages in the med ctr. If they decide that we report back to the office eventually.

Got this faux preaux grille insert gifted to me by a member here and slapped her on in about 20-30 mins start to finish. Pretty happy with it, but will be adding color matched grille surround and hood bulge as well as the letters. Pretty happy with it for sure!

me too man. i'm going to attempt to paint it. so i'm tryin to make sure I get what is needed to properly prep it and get it to adhere. it's not a whole lot and doesn't have alot of crazy angles or crevices, so it's shouldn't be too bad. I may eat these words later haha

I'll be picking your brain here in a few months. Working on acquiring some chrome pieces to attempt to paint. As long as your prep is good and you use use a good clear, it should last. Right?

    Good luck sir!

Received a stubby antennae from another member on here that donated it to me. I'd post a link, but he said it was bought on eBay, but it is no longer available. Per most stubby antennas, the reception is sub-par when not within a larger city (I live outside the city in the country), but I use my phone most of the time for music anyway.

Did a search for a 2WD with a 6" lift and this beauty came up. I have parts on order that will get my truck to 6" and wanted to see how things look on other 2WD Tundras with a 6" lift. I'll also be running 35s and will hopefully get K02s, which apparently are hard to get at the moment in a 35. I have new wheels on the truck with +18 offset, but previously with my 2.5" leveling spacer I was running a -12 offset wheel with my 32" K02s. Had to do some minor trimming, but I'm hoping when the 6" is installed with the 35s I won't have to worry about chopping anything else off the truck. If I don't like the look of the +18 I'll likely put the -12 back on since I prefer a more aggressive stance.

Very nicely done! I hope the results on mine are at least almost as nice as yours!

Edit: Just saw that you have the spacer still in place with the 6" lift. I did initially think it was higher, but I admittedly got my hopes up after only reading the first post.

So FYI, mine is 4wd. I have -19 offset, and my tires measure 35.5/12.8R20. Look in metric sizes. I went to the BFG website and looked up their size chart. 35/12.5R20 may not be available, but a metric size close to it may be. Also, most 35s don't truly measure 35". Some measure as low as 34" I've seen. I sometimes wish I had gone with a different wheel so I could have a lower offset of around 0 or +20, but for what I found, its all they offered. Thr spacer setup with ready lift was the only one available when I ordered it. I'm happy with it, but I'm sure having the coil overs and all would make me happier. LOL. Thanks another man. Got questions, just let me know and I'll do best I can to help.

I could have sworn I saw 2WD lol. But I also had multiple tabs open when I was browsing 6" lifts and must'a got them mixed up. Yeah I was looking to go metric 325/65 x R18 (which comes out to 34.6 x 12.8) on the K02 which were available last week, but I called this week and those also went on back order. And yeah, 18s cause I'm one of the prefer-more-rubber people lol. I have metric K02 now on what's a near equivalent of 32s (275/65 R18) as I was trying to keep it as close to stock initially. That was 10 years ago. I was considering selling/trade-in, but with all the crazy pricing on Tundras/trucks I decided screw it, I'm just gonna put more money into mods/lift since my truck has relatively low miles (2008 just broke 98k).

Ah gotcha. If you haven't yet, check out local tire places and even Sam's/Walmart. Ya never know
