Got started on test fitting this tonight. Will throw a couple more coats of paint on and then get the other 2 bars on.

Very nice. I'd love a DiamondBack cover when I eventually buy a newer truck. Hopefully by then an easily removeable rack system is available too.

    Sorry @Cpl_Punishment. Missed this.

Alberta Premium is one, for sure. Can’t remember the other ATM. Maybe Alberta Springs? Then there are the small local distilleries of course.

Thanks. If you think of the names of any of the small ones, I'll look for them at my local independent liquor store.

In BC. I've been roasting working on the Fraser River. Been up to 20 degrees the last few days on site.

Anyone have any experience with MW Moorby boots? They aren't cheap, but I'm hoping the quality is there. I went with style 2816 from MEC. Made in Canada, Winnipeg actually.

    https://www.canadawestboots.com/mensmoorby

I also found CrownCap is made right here too.

Starting to take notice of local vendors, suppliers and makers.

Last day at work for me today. The future is more uncertain than ever with current oil pricing.

Yeah, 2020 can fuck right off. Looks like I'm sitting on EI until the virus fucks off or this company lands some work. Nobody in any industry is hiring now due to the virus shit.

Everything is closed! I'm free to wander around the city path system with dozens of other people but apparently spending a day alone on the lake ist verboten!!!

Yeah, rec sites are closed here too, :annoyed: not sure if that includes boat launch usage, haven’t looked into it yet.

Total bullshit. I guess I could park my truck outside the park boundary and hoof the boat in. They're closed until May 19. It's not like there's much fishing now anyway but it's the principle of the matter. I can go buy fast food or take out where another person handles my food, but I can't go enjoy some solo outdoor time? Fuck. Off.

I haven't dealt with either of those companies but I do like those boots a lot. The older I get the more I focus on having quality items that will last longer vs. cost or whats popular. I personally would get the 2822's. What are they worth a pair?

They only had the one style on MEC, which I like to buy from. I may try to hit up their factory outlet if its open for limited customers.

As for price, they were $249cad. By far the most expensive footwear I have ever considered. But I'm at the stage of my like, I don't mind paying for quality and local or Canadian made.

The 9.5s are a bit big, and the 9s are still stuck in Covid transport. I'm normally a 10/44.

Nice, I like buying from MEC as well. And they offer a first responders discount :)
