    **** UPDATE ***
No longer selling the camper. Dealer came back with a deal that I did not like after all.

However if this changes in the next month. I will let those who PMd me know first.

    *****
So I have an opportunity to trade for a new Tundra.Longer Bed and different color.
Any suggestions what should I do with Silver Camper Shell from snug top factory color matched, carpeted, sliding windows and rear folding / sliding window. Led Light inside and rear brake light.

Got this thing for around $2000 plus install.
I know it will be lost value if I trade it with the truck. But I can only sell it for some one local to Los Angeles, CA

Also If I do sell it they would need to come and help me swap it to their truck. Considering stay at home orders that might be a difficult thing to do these days.

That also brings me to my Rough Country front Bumper. Again heavy beast. With full LEDs from RC. Now wondering if I should sell that as well with a trade of someones original bumper for my year truck.

My black Pro Comp wheels too. They are 18x9 and fit OEM tires and larger of cause with OEM pressure sensors that work.

Any one have any advice on how I should approach this please chime in.

Are you getting the same color newer truck? If so ,why not swap stuff onto it?

swap over/paint will be cheaper in the long run or remove everything before trading up and sell later on.

yeah. sell on the side. dealer won't give you much for extras but I'm sure you can bring $1100 easy on that camper if posted in private ads.
silver crewmax is pretty common so I'm sure someone looking for a shell.

problem is I have no where to keep the shell. So they would have to come out and swap it on their truck.

If I was looking for a shell, I'd do that in a heart beat. Swap is 10 minutes max and 8 of that is bolting and unbolting clamps.

When I sold my 10, I planned on swapping my a.r.e. to my 18 until I realized it wouldn’t fit. I knew the dealer wasn’t going to give me anything so I found a local truck accessory shop to sell it to. Only got like $500, but it was quick and I knew they’d pay vs dealing with selling it privately.

Blast it on CL or FB marketplace. Maybe a package deal for all? Might work for a quick 2500 or so.

Check with the place you bought it from sometimes they will buy back or do consignment sale for a price

I'd be on the cap in a heartbeat if you were on the east coast. Throw it on CL for $1200... I would guess it'll be gone quickly.

Sell the cap for sure. Those go quick. and if your worried about the swap you can do what I did when I purchased mine from a fellow member on this forum. Meet at the local accessory shop that does camper shells and bed covers. They do the swap in about 30min max with wiring, and you both drive your separate ways. Just make sure to make the appointment before so you minimize your wait time.

Bumper and Wheels should work on the new Tundy.

Got a few PMs responded. Waiting to see.
New Tundra can take the wheels and bumper. But I will be looking at a different approach. Going from 2wd to 4wd. So it will be a different build all together

Just curious, what dealer and what was the trade in value?

NOHO Toyota and Hamer Toyota can get quite aggressive to make deals. I live in Orange, yet traveled to Mossy in San Diego (by Train) to get the deal I wanted.

Pretty much I tried many local to me. But not NoHo or Hamer. Since they are further. Most said this is a bad time to trade in due to Covid they are not selling well and are not buying used vehicles well.

They also did not want to budge. I will ask NoHo and Hamer see if they got any specials.
