2nd gen ideally. Just want a clean body. Got a 3.5l V6 out of a sienna I’m going to rebuild and put in it.

W20 is definitely my favorite gen also. Followed by the 1st gens. Never really liked the 3rd gen.

The 3rd is kinda ugly. But I have to say it is the absolute best handling one stock

I was finally able to find some old school steelies off craigslist! These were harder to find than I had anticipated. Cleaned them up, gave them a fresh coat of paint and finally got them mounted. I have always loved the classic, utilitarian look and really think it brings the whole truck's look together!

I love old school steelies...I almost went with those over the TRD SEMAs...sometimes I wish I did...I would have painted my gunmetal.

I was torn between a charcoal/gunmetal color and black. Ultimately I decided the gunmetal could look too close to the color of the truck and could potentially clash, but think steelies in that color look awesome.

I concur...on your truck, the black looks better...on mine the gunmetal would have been sharp!

Hey y’all. Do you guys know what wheel stud the first gen uses. I got new wheels and the tire guy broke 2 of my studs. I’ve been looking them up and I can’t tell if it makes a difference which one I get

Sorry, this is the photo thread. We will need to see pics of the broken wheel studs.

Just curious, shouldn't the tire guy be doing the research on this problem?

New hubs are pretty cheap, but replacing them is the same as doing the wheel bearings, which may get destroyed in the process. I thing they have to come out anyways to press new studs in. I'd have the whole bearing/hub kit on standby.

    Hey, guys.
I don't post much on here, I come from Tacoma World but I wanted to share to you guys my daily. She's a 2006 and currently has 164k miles. Plans are to upgrade the suspension with Kings, new UCA's, Gears (4.56), new stereo system and paint. You can't tell from this picture but the clear coat is coming off on the roof and the hood looks like someone took a sand blaster to it.

    Current mods:
    • Fat Bob's Garage 3" coilover
    • Method 312 with 285/75/17
    • Swapped everything to LED
    • LED Turn signal relay swap
    • Installed the factory fog lights with new Stalk
Is there any mods you guys recommend?

    Thanks. 16" KMC Enduro wheels
Tires at that time were 285/75 16 Mickey Thompson ATZ (no longer in production) but I replaced those with Yokohama AT-S in the same size

Needs a wash, and a wax, will happen in a week.

My grille was black twice, I've never been able to make it stay for more than 2 years without chipping. Stay at home order might lead to a drastic measure- vinyl wrap! Worth a try right?

I would have blacked the fogs out but I plan to build a bumper this year. I have a nice tube bender and just need to find the time.
