Rotors for a Rock Warrior.

    Bull bar with led light bar, 35in tires, more to come.
    I've got a little shake/shimmy in my steering when braking and a very slight pull to one side. I was wonder what its indicative of and how to fix it. I'm thinking rotors. With it being a rock warrior is there anything I need to know specifically?

    Nope same as other models. Get them turned is the cheapest. Take off and take to an auto parts shore that has a lathe. Will have to call around. You could replace with new rotors but $$. Also check for uneven wear on the pads and if they need changed as well.

    I put Centric Premium or Raybestos EHT's on most vehicles that come into my garage. Need them coated rotors living in the rust belt. 3 Tundras on Raybestos EHT pads and rotors. No complaints.

    Suggestion....try an Italian brake job and see if that helps. Rust and glaze can build up and cause shimmy, pulsing, etc. 5-6 hard brake applications without stopping (slow to about 5mph) may help.

    If your rotors are not warped, but have glaze and rust, yes. It is the same process as seating the brakes- burnishing the brakes.

    If you pull a wheel you can see how your rotors look. If they are cruddy it could help. Even a tiny amount of crud or rust will be felt when applying the brakes.
