Howdy folks, i own a 2019 Tundra SR5. One of my biggest pet peeves is the price i paid to end up with a polyurethane steering wheel. I was seeking whats the most affordable and best way to have my steering wheel leather wrapped.

    Thank you

Junkyard. Tacoma and 4Runner are interchangeable.

Are they easy to swap out? I also have the Toyota safety sense equipped too.

    Thank you

I ordered the Loncky kit from Amazon and it worked great. Here’s a tutorial thread with links. My only added advice would be use all of the adhesive tape they give you, especially on the back side of the wheel. I did not disassemble my wheel, and I was pleased with the result. Removing parts would make it a lot easier, though.

I bought one from a wrecked 4runner, took maybe 10 mins to swap.

I installed the leather wrap on mine. It is much better the stick, but for the time and effort, I would say just look to swap out the steering wheel with a limited. Both options work and give the feel your looking for.

There are a few options to buy or wrap yourself... a lot of people are buying used tacoma/4-runner..

Any way to eliminate those two plastic pieces that go from both sides of the center down to the wheel, at the bottom? The old Tundra didn't have that "feature" and looks like we're stuck with it even with the Tacoma wheel. I'd like a wrap that cover the plastic.

I certainly can appreciate leather. It was the main deciding factor in my purchase.
Mine is just a plain Jane SR5, but had the leather upgrade package. I absolutely LOVE it.
That said... have you tried pricing an OEM Toyota Tundra leather wheel ?
