It may be the camera angle but is that pistol mounted in front of your knee airbag? If so...It would really suck to have that pistol slam into your legs at 200mph if that airbag needed to deploy.

I have the same dash plate, but have yet to install it. What size arm did you go with for that Ram mount?

Medium for gopro and long for the phone. Phone is right over the vent which really will help keep it cool in summer.
I used supplied hardware and for paved roads setup holds just fine, but 1'' washers or a plate is a good idea for off-roading or heavier tablet.

Don't want to scare anyone off from attempting this, trust me, if it was anyone else doing this but me, you will have no problem, it's beyond easy. Figured you'd guys get a kick out this, I'll explain. We all can use a laugh right now, even if at my own expense.

So I figured I'd take what I thought would be 10-20 min to change my rear plate bulbs to led. I already knew having the tow package that it would be a bit harder than without, but no big deal. Without the tow package it would probably take 5 min. Even with the tow package most could probably get this done in 5 to 10 minutes I'd say.

Not me though, I soon realized that the baja designs squadrons I installed a while back were gonna make this a bit harder than the normal install. You can probably tell from this pic that they get right in the way.
    20200416_153033.jpg

Even so, how hard could it be? That's why I was guessing 20 minutes at most with no injuries. Turns out about 2 hrs later with wrists looking like this
    20200418_182439.jpg
    20200418_182501.jpg

I finally got it done after a ton of frustration, a bunch of cursing, and looking like a botched suicide attempt.

I mean is it just me or am I not the only one? Whenever I think I can squeeze in a quick addition in a short period of time it ends up taking a ridiculously long and painful time. I swear as much as I enjoy messing with my truck and doing most of the stuff myself, I hate it at the same time, especially while I'm doing it. For whatever reason, without fail, every single tiny little thing I plan to do ends up taking way more time than it should and ends up being way more difficult than it should. I swear it's just me.

Not worth the pain and effort but here you go, earth shattering led plate bulbs lol

Not a bad idea, problem would be I'd have to pry them off the xbox controllers to get them there. As much as the play I'm also guessing they're stuck in the controller holding position even when it's not in their hands.

Nice Holden. Same here, a little while back I got them for free with just paying shipping. I was gonna wait until I needed to replace a stock halogen but like most of my additions, when I come across a deal too good to pass, I'm easily convinced and give in to my addiction. They're definitely a cleaner and brighter white. I don't know about you, probably was, but for me not worth it lol.

Thats exactly how I got'em, the just pay shipping deal. I was going to use them in the map lights, but I'm just not a huge fan of insanely bright in-cab lights at night. I'm definitely the minority on that one

I will be running out to look at them when it finally gets dark out here for sure :D

Damn great minds really think alike. Both pulled trigger on deal, both let sit there for a bit, and both installed today. I'm guessing your install was a bit easier than mine though. Did u find u had to really push them in kinda hard to stay in socket?

Yeah I completely unplugged each socket so I could force the new lights in. Trying to push them in there while still attached to the truck was NOT happening!
A little force was all they needed :benchpress:

Welcome to my world, I forced them in connected and with very little space to boot. At 1st I was thinking there was something wrong with them. I even had to take a magnet to retrieve the light out the housing when the new led fell off trying to put back in. I'm telling you, everything that could turn a nice simple job went wrong on me. I'm guessing you had some frustration too then. Just not my level trying to put them back in with 2 fingers on the wrong hand Lol

Haha I hate when projects snowball like that :annoyed:
I got the left one forced in and the socket put back together only to realize that it was backward and the bulb wasn't lighting. So I had to pull it all out and flip the bulb. So I had a little taste, but nowhere near the trouble you did

Are all of the mount holes threaded?

I wasn’t a fan of the gold rivnuts they were using. Glad they ditched them

For a while anyways. Its going to be able to go in and out along with the seats. But I don't have passengers back there other than my dogs.

Added the OEM Toyota power tailgate lock I got with the free shipping deal from Cool Springs/@Roman. I'd highly recommend it if you're wanting to add one. I thought installation was super easy with the instructions here: https://www.tundras.com/threads/2018-power-tailgate-lock-new-toyota-accessory.52150/ — even the length of the wiring under the whole truck was perfect.

I've never had the Pop n Lock to compare to, but the actuator seems nice and quiet to me.
