    Hey everyone
I have a sparkplug oil seal leaking on the right side valve cover. Removing the cover looks like a time consuming but not to horrible of a job. I was wondering if anyone has done this to there truck before and could give me some advise. Do I need to remove all of the cam and other sensors from the cover before removal? Or can I leave them in place. I have the gaskets and seals and I even ordered the little figure 8 gaskets that go on the cam towers.

Is there anything else I should know when doing the job. I have replaced plenty of valve cover gaskets before but they have always been on older cars and nothing with this much stuff connected to them.

    Thanks for the help.

I don’t know anything about it, but if you search for the cam tower leak there are pics and videos of the engine being taken apart. Those might show you how far you have to go and what you need to do it.

I did it on my 2008 Toyota Tundra 5.7L, I'll post some photos I took during the process months ago

Of course, I didn’t a photo taken of everything I want but definitely say something if you’re unsure of anything!
