VF Tuner 3UR Support - Development Tools

That's exactly what I'm worried about happening with it up to 20%. It starts running rich. I do notice a little rich smoke from the tailpipe now and again. The most noticeable thing when the ethanol percentage gets high is the spongy lack of power.

 

I know that you probably don't have much free time, but logging is the only way that I can think of that you might be able to stay ahead/correct this. Logs enable Mat to see what the sensors are seeing (air intake temp, coolant temp, injector duration, O2 sensors). I know that this is tedious, but it's kind of what we've sign up for by running beta tunes. I also know that you know all this too, but it's all I got!

@OVTune how close are you on the 07-09 updates? Sent you logs from base tune a while back (YWL50 order #5058)

yes.
Actually all older model ECUs are already done, so the hard work is done. We just aren't ready to release it yet.

@OVTune no email or response yet. Can I resend my logs and base tune if that’s what your after on the bad hard drive. Don’t you have a backup you can pull the data from?

 

@OVTune As you requested, I emailed some data logs. They are less than 5mb total, that should make it through your email system correct? Please confirm receipt.

Hi guys I sent ticket updates yesterday for folks getting updates today

 

<—Eager for update, too paranoid to go outside.

Those of you getting one of these, post up what you think so that the rest of us have something to read; although I'm probably getting too much screen time. I foresee (ha) a rash of nearsightedness in the future.

At OVTune #5221 Not sure what you mean by ticket updates were sent as I haven't gotten any emails. But if you need my tune file or logs sent again from your hard drive crash situation let me know. Otherwise will you be able to get my updated tune today? After your hd crashed you said I would have it asap on Monday but haven't heard anything?

 

I am still in the progress of that HDD recovery.
And to let you know why, your ECU, and a very small amount of others were bench read, remember we had to get a ECU, this was on a our bench read computer.
worst case I have to have my dev manually decrypt the file. but I will get it solved asap.



in other (good) news.
All 2018 ECU support will be getting an update in vF Tuner this weekend.
We are full steam ahead on all fronts guys. Things are cookin!

 

Thanks for the info Mat Can you give an updated timeline on this for me, Days Weeks or Months? In the future get a backup. If you need help with the recovery of the HDD I do that every day for a living.

your file isn't the only one I need off that HDD so I *must* get it recovered

 

If I can help any we have amazing software and 12 years of experience with data recovery. We do NOT do any clean room physical recovery only software based. I do have several reputable companies that I can recommend if you need that. With somebody with proper software and experience there is an amazing recovery rate for hard drives. 90% of recoveries can be done without physical platter swaps at a clean room facility. Now thats NOT the case for SSD Drives... Those dont fail often, but when they do its usually not pretty!
