That sucks, I hate waiting for Tundra goodies once they’ve been ordered.

Shout out to @Roman for running a tight ship, I ordered my TRD skid on Sunday night and it arrived today. Every time I order from Toyota of Cool Springs, I get my stuff super fast (and I never use anything other than basic shipping).

They must be the only company on the planet that doesn't have a banner on their website saying how covid is affecting their business. I don't need 5 emails from office depot telling me how they are dealing with this "crisis", but I sure would like to know if it's doubling the delivery time on something I just spent $750 on. @RCIoffroad

Finally gonna put my RCI tomorrow. Didn’t get all the hardware needed to do the install so I had to wait till I was able to get to the hardware store to get what I needed. Wish me luck!

Just need to powder coat it now ;)
If you plan on doing that. The guy that did mine charged me $50 for it and did an awesome job. Id just take those letters off first

Definitely, that’s the plan. I ordered the replacement letters from Tufskinz too. I’ll probably powder coat the tow hooks too while I’m at it. I painted them red myself a few months ago but they’ve been chipping pretty bad.

Yeah spraying it yourself ends up looking good for a few months. Powder coat is the way to go. Looks great, cheap and lasts a long time. It's gonna look good under the black truck. I like the subtle look.

I ordered mine Tuesday March 31st and got my "Order Received" Email
April 7th I got the "Your order has been Shipped" Email
It arrived via FedEx Thursday April 9th.
(Shipped from their shop in Colorado right down to Texas)

Just give RCI a call and they can tell you when it'll ship and such probably

There is a lead time listed at the bottom of the item’s description. Right now it’s 1-3 weeks for the skid plate

And they said one person couldn’t install this pig with no ramps or jacks. Too me a couple of hours to tackle it and a few 2x4’s “precisely” stacked to support it so I could start the bolts. I’m exhausted and sore but it’s d-o-n-e.

I’m debating between the two myself. Both have the oil filter door which is nice. Leaning towards the TRD Pro as it has a floor jack point.

Either one is a great upgrade from the stock one.

Looks like it did it's job. Mine's taken a few good hits my accident. I'd like one of those nice looking TRD skids but they're so damn expensive. It keeps getting lower on my list

Not sure when or why but Toyota does some sort of 40% off sale on all TRD products once in a blue moon.

Love the pro skid plate. Dumb question here. Is it safe to run without the skid plate? Thinking my last oil change they just drained the oil. Skid plate wasn’t touched imo. Don’t off road at all.

I wouldn’t. You never know what might fall off someone’s truck and you can’t safely avoid it. Too much “important” stuff under there to expose to god knows what.

I ordered my RCI April 7th and just got a shipping confirmation on Thursday. I called them 2 separate times and they were very cordial in their response. Ended up being my fault as I only had a PO Box listed under my order information. I called Thursday and gave him my physical address and literally had the shipping confirmation 5 minutes after hanging the phone up. I was very pleased with the response I got from RCI both times I called. Great customer service especially during these times.

Is there any issue with fitting a RCI trans skid plate with a TRD Pro front skid? I have the pro skid, and just wanted to bang that up and add a transmission skid. Any trimming needed?

I have also ordered sliders (before the new state orders they had a lead time of about 4-5 weeks on sliders) not sure about the adjusted time frame... I suppose RCI will be shipping the trans skip plate along when those are ready...

Missed the free shipping by a few days...
Any estimate cost to Reno? Might wait for the next code.

EDIT: Nevermind. Ordered it today. Will likely order the 12 inch Bed Rack..

Interestingly enough, my SR5 came without a skid plate when I bought it new. That bothered me, so I got a TRD skid just in case. Shortly after I installed it, a vehicle in front of me spit out a block of wood while on the highway. I heard and even felt through the floor board a loud smack. When I got home I checked the front end and could see where the block hit the skid. Luckily, it took it like a champ and had no damage, but I’d hate to think what could’ve happened had the skid not been in place.

My RCI skid plate was just delivered this morning - ordered it April 22. 14 days from order to delivery is pretty good.

I got the steel version and wow Is it beefy. Probably weighs 45-50 lbs. I will probably sell my old OEM version.

I had to trim my stock skid plate running 295/70/18s. I’d eventually like to upgrade. Are the Trd pro and RCI not as wide to where your tires won’t hit them at full turn? Thanks

That is correct. They are narrower and longer.
