^I wondered how 4th gen 4Runner Sport rims would look. They look fantastic!

Thanks! I really like the look of the polished 17"er's over the stock painted 16s. The only minor complaint is that the offset is a touch narrower so they don't fill the wheel well quite as much when looking at the truck from the front or rear. I got over that pretty quickly though.

Nothing some bigger rubber won't take care of! :D I was actually searching for these rims when I came across the FJC rims I'm running now.

Yea i been considering this style for a whiles. There are couple of companies that do a similar look. I also like the look of ultra type 50 rims

I presume those are 15". In which case they won't clear the front calipers on Tundra.

    Must have been.

Interestingly, there are two sets of the 15" version of these on my local CL now.

I know most people don’t go out of their way to add base model steelies as an upgrade, but I’ve always loved the utilitarian look. Just painted and mounted these rims and think they compliment the Softopper well!DCF4DA9E-8F8E-4E64-ACEC-6EAB943F3A89.jpg0D1B180F-A68A-4C72-834B-5F88962E65A9.jpg

Thanks. I do as well. They got painted black about 6 years ago. They were all gnarly and I had some black rattle can laying around. Easy fix.

Glad to have found the Dulicolor product. This is what I used to make it silver. Highly recommend. Prep is key as always.

16x8 barely clear the calipers, and I mean barely.

16x8 is the best sized wheel IMO. You are correct in the clearance Clarence. The WE to WL brake conversion made me realized your statement.

I have the smaller calipers. Wanted to upgrade to the larger ones but looked at the clearance. Really don’t think it will work. Has anyone with 16x8 4& something bs had any luck?

Check my build page. The WL caliper will fit inside the original OEM starfish wheel.

I’m running Weld Stonecrushers I believe.height wise there is a little more room. To the wheel side there is a hair clearance. If the Wo is a mm or two wider it would interfere.
