I think this is a noteworthy mention for this thread. Just because there is lack of evidence to support the existence of aliens, it does not mean that aliens do not exist (nor does it mean they do exist). It is known as the appeal to ignorance fallacy.

A false dilemma (Logical fallacy) may take the form of the following:

    • If a proposition has not been disproved, then it cannot be considered false and must therefore be considered true.
    • If a proposition has not been proven, then it cannot be considered true and must therefore be considered false

Would be? They all are right now.

    It's not aliens.

    Time+manpower+math=these results

Pyramids are in various locations across the planet for one reason. That shape is the easiest way to stack rocks without them falling down.

The easiest answer is usually the right one.

I am not going to comment on the religion comment as think it is stated in the forum rules to not go there...

However I agree with your other points. It is definitely possible that humans could have built the pyramids on their own with an adequate amount of time and work (man power).

    x = xo + vot + 1/2at2 | (Vƒ)2 = (Vo)2 + 2ax

However in the equation, either time or work (manpower) variables have to increase exponentially for the building of this to make "logical sense" with the technology that they *presumably* were working with back then. When they plugged these figures into the supercomputer at MIT they came up with some interesting results, there is a Youtube video on this, if I can find it...

Typically, the phrase, "the simplest answer is usually the right one" is USUALLY correct. By the way this understanding comes from Occam's Razor (Philosophical problem-solving theory), which is known as the criterion of falsifiability in Science.

I am sure I just made some people bored on this one... HaHa

True, then it doesnt explain the inside of the pyramids in egypt, its pretty complex for people that didnt have technology

Religion is a whole other issue but not touching that one, yet...
There are hieroglyphs that seem to show what looks like a modern jet aircraft we use today as well as a helicopter. Then theres the talk of moving giants stones not just in egypt, yes someone posted a video with a man making it look simple but these people long ago built them up in really remote areas to prove something

    Bright pink truck nuts.
That is nuts. The block rolling jig he made at the start moves those blocks quite fast with relatively little effort. Its plausible to see how a few people could move literal tons of material quickly.

Much of history is written from the point of the victor. One of the first things conquerors do is eradicate or assimilate a populous; effectively erasing their contributions. Makes you wonder how much we've lost from the "losers" of history.

    The answer is still aliens.

Ha! I guess if you’ve already thought of every possibility and have it all figured out, there won’t be any, after all. ;)

Really, I’m just bored and thought it might be fun to revive an old off-topic post.

i still try and wrap my head around the holes drilled in many stones. machining marks and all.
ive always liked this theory for the large perfectly fitted stones too. but that makes it difficult to explain them using granite in the same manner. i can (dumbly) make the sedimentary method of making stones be ok in my head, but igneous rock is a whole different ball game.

    Edit: Igneous vs metamorphic mistake.

And then think of thousands of men doing the same job at the same time.

What always gets me on archaeologist shows/digs someone always says, "we're amazed at the level of engineering these people used."
Somehow our modern generations think they are the smartest people who ever lived, hell 150 years ago they learned Latin just because they could.

Granite is an igneous rock. Also the Egyptians never claimed to build the pyramids. They existed before they did.

good eye, and agreed. kind of like how the inca never claimed to build machu picchu, but no one really listens to them because all the have is "stories"
also agree. they didnt have youtube to pass the time, they had things to figure out. its crazy to think of how much knowledge has been forgotten through the years. its probably one of those things that if we saw the way it was actually done, we'd be kicking ourselves at the simplicity.

Slightly off topic but I even look at more recent architecture and realize something similar will never be built again. Think of cathedrals or castles that took millions of dollars and dozens of years to build and realize no one will ever invest that much time and energy in a project again. Now it's all about doing it as fast and cheap as possible.
