When I bought my crewmax, I knew I wanted more cab space than bed. You can always drop the tailgate to create more bed space where as with the double cab, there’s not much you can do to create more space in that backseat. Yes, you can move the seats up but for a guy like me who’s 6’4, that wouldn’t be an option. There’s plenty of options for tailgate extenders etc too. I’d be willing to bet crewmax has a higher resale just due to the initial cost being higher, but also would be willing to bet the demand is higher on a crewmax vs doublecab. It may also vary where you live as well.

CM in general is worth more to others in my opinion, yes.

I know they lease better...was actually cheaper per month for the CM than the equivelant DC through TMC.

As to why they are worth more...just pure numbers. They made the DC for years before a CM and while now it is 50/50 in numbers sold...previously alot of DC were sold as "value leaders" - the car you see splashed across the page with "buy for xx,xxxx - lease for only xxx". Of course once they draw you in - they upsell.

To me. Its no better - no worse. I dont ride in the backseat - and if I need to haul people, I have an SUV. But I get why people like them.

As to driver height...makes zero difference DC/CM - they both have the exact same front seat measurements (I checked).

I should’ve clarified. My comment on driver height was in reference to creating more space in the backseat of a DC by moving the driver seat up, which wouldnt work for a “tall” driver.
