So I have 2010 Tundra CrewMax and recently the throttle started just randomly quitting. If I release the throttle and reapply it keeps going. I recently changed the serpentine belt and for a while it fixed it, but it has started doing it again. Can someone help tell me what is wrong with my baby?

it probably has nothing to do with the serpentine as these are drive by wire, you may need a re calibration on the pedal and ECU, or a replacement as it appears you're experiencing an intermittent signal.

Is that an easy to do repair for both the recalibration and ECU swap?

ECU will probably take some disassembly of the console on the driver side, but before you take stuff apart, you should contact your local stealership and ask for a re calibration or ECU flash for your acceleration pedal, which may be easier and usually free 99 than swapping out your ECU. If this fails then you can attempt an accelerator replacement first then the ECU which will be most cost effective.

always go for the cheapest parts first, before exploring expensive parts...

Would that by any chance cause the battery to die?

I just replaced my gas pedal, it had the original that was "chopped" and shimmed. You can have the old one it if you want it. I'm in SC. I imagine shipping would be under $10.

Don't think so. If your battery is dying, highly suggest you have it checked first and double check you don't have a parasitic draw, which may drain your battery.

    What is a parasitic draw?

An electrical component which continues to draw power when it shouldn't from the battery after the engine is turned off.. the result is a dead battery

400-800 milliamps is about a normal draw for computerized vehicles, if you have more than that and some rigs do, but I would start pulling fuses to see what will lesson the draw to a manageable level.
