I have a 2013 tundra. The other day after work my truck wouldn’t start. After some messing around found out it was the fuel pump relay. This morning I go to start my truck with the remote start and nothing again. Replaced the fuel pump relay and still nothing. Lost and not sure what to check next. Any ideas

    thank you

Can you please give more detail on "it won't start." The starter turns over? The starter doesn't turn over? How old is the battery?

Starter turns over, engine cranks, I don’t hear the fuel pump kick on. Replaced the fuel pump relay. Just not getting fuel

I think you start by checking the battery and alternator if they are bad

They work. Got juice. It keeps blowing the fuel pump relay and I’m not sure what to look for

loose ground. check your grounding cable, may have to trace wires to grounding points. I use to pop fuses on my fog lights only, every time I would turn them on, or turn the car on it would short out. I would hear the pop too. I traced it down to a head unit ground that had vibrated loose. fixed the issue.

Sounds like a loose ground cable more than likely, especially since you mentioned you keep popping the fuel pump relay.

Go back and check that relay, check the connections, use some di-electric grease (never hurts), and see if you can trace the grounds.

If it is blowing the fuse, that means you have a direct short to ground, or high resistance in the pump as indicated from other posters, bad grounds etc. It may be just a pump internal failure and needs to be replaced. You could disconnect the pump from the system and see if it still blows the fuse with the key on/starting. If you get the pump disconnected you can also check the pump wiring to see if you have and internal short in the pump. When this problem happens do you get any ECM stored messages?
