These inserts are pretty rad. I’m hocking a set of irons then diving in for the OEM LED headlights.

Curious about these shackles... I had a 1.5" block on the rear of my F150 and a spacer that lifted the front 2.5". It rode and looked great. When I had my Tacoma, the Tacomaworld folks would literally call for your head if you mentioned spacers and/or blocks for lifting. In the 2 weeks I have had my Tundra(and been on this site) I have seen several talking about the rear shackles. Tell me about them please. Install looks simple. How is the ride? How much lift? I'm thinking of going with Bilstein 5100s all around. Give me the skinny on these things please....

Bedded the new brakes today and the Hawk LTS pads stop the truck much quicker than the OEM’s did with the 35x12.5’s.

It's not about being old or young, it's what is practical on the truck. The typical rule of thumb for a truck tire/wheel combo is the tires should be about double the wheel size. A 17" or 18" is perfect for 35" tires. 20" seem to work also but I personally prefer more sidewall for offroad protection and ride quality. The large rim, small sidewall does not belong on a 4x4 truck in my opinion. Again just my opinion. To each his own

The install was very easy. Took about an hour. Just make sure you have both a jack and jack stands; you’ll need all three to get the rear in full “droop” so there’s little to no tension where the leafs mount. And a torque wrench that can hit 150 lbs. I have 2.5” spacers in the front and it made my truck perfectly level, but I do pull a trailer a decent amount, so I wanted to bring back a little bit of rake. These @sdhq_offroad shackles give about 3/4” of rear lift, so it was perfect. Most around here prefer CB shackles, but these suit me just fine and are more affordable. Can’t really notice too much of a difference in ride quality, but I can tell you with 100% accuracy the ride didn’t get any worse. When my stock shocks give up the ghost, I’ll be upgrading to a Bilstein 6112/5160 set-up and getting rid of the spacers. For now, I’m very happy with my set-up.

Yeah. I hear ya. Except that my reaction was to yell at him rather than to cry. He was a 50+ year old man that wrecked into the back of me because he was watching a hot 20 year old college student walking down the street and didn’t see we were all stopped at a stoplight. (College girl came over to be the witness for those of us hit).

After getting everyone over to a parking lot to assess the damage on everyone’s vehicles and make sure everyone was ok, I lost it on him. I was so pissed. I assumed he was texting since he never even hit his breaks. He said he was distracted by the cross walk (makes no sense). Then moments later this young gal walks up and said she was approaching the cross walk and saw him watching her and not paying attention when he slammed into the back of me. It shoved me into another 20 year old college girl in front of me, and a young male college student in front of her. Neither of them knew what the heck to do so I kinda went into mom mode and took pics of everyone’s cars, licenses, and insurance info, made everyone give me their numbers, and then group texted and narrated the whole incident to get him to state in text that he was responsible. It sent both me and the girl driving the vehicle that I got forced into to the ER.

Dude was extremely apologetic as he should have been. But damn, did he get an earful from me.

Never measured the stopping distance. What I can say is it does stop quicker around town with less pedal pressure. I’ve always preferred the semi-metallic brakes to ceramic. They are dusty but I like the way they bite more than the ceramics.

When I did mine I used a breaker bar - large ratchet would have been fine. Battery impact couldn't get onto the bolt so had to go that way. It was awkward but not that tough to get off.
