No one thinks its pretty awesome that I picked up in the fact the OP is Canadian by him saying 1 meter, then figuring that it could be a block heater ground cuz Canadian trucks come with them? I mean come on!:rofl: I'm really proud of myself here

They were good to deal. I would drive back to deal with them again. Good bunch and I would encourage anyone wanting to buy that’s around there to holler at them. North Bay Toyota stand up :))

I'm in Kenora at work at the dealer. Great place to buy a vehicle if you can get the price you want but don't get any service work done there.

If you want one I could drop it off to your brother in IFalls after they open the border back up.

The Toyota part number is- Cartridge Heater Kit PN: PK5A4-89J11

You will need the directions to install the heater. The parts department can provide those if they can get the heater. I can help you with a couple of tricks to make it easier to install.

Just bought a block heater for my tundra. Can anyone show me where exactly the location of the block heater please? On the passenger side behind the engine? Do I need to access it from the bottom removing my skid? Any pictures will be appreciated!

Driver's side on the back of the engine. You can only access it from the bottom. Removing the driver's side tire and rubber flap to aid in installing. If you bought it from your dealer you can ask the part department for the instructions. Make sure you bought the current heater. The old heaters had issues and there were a few fires so Toyota had a recall and replaced them with a new updated version. Some of the old heater are still floating around on eBay.

Dealership here refused to give any info since I decided not going through their labor for the install. So I have to figure out myself. I ll try to do it when it gets warmer here.

I went to order the comfort + enhance package with install at the dealership for price of 966 CAD. That gives me the block heater cabin heater and trickle charger with blue tooth control. When I pulled my truck in I was told to pay extra several hundred bucks to install the block heater separately. So I got pissed off and canceled the whole install and walked away with only the block heater and cables. I’m pretty sure it’s the most updated version from defa, not the recalled parts that cause fires.

Because you got it from the dealer it will be the updated version. You should be able to find the Toyota instruction. Can you try another dealer? The work takes about an hour and a half and it's not an easy job to do. The cables have to be routed exactly and you have to cut a hole in the front. The heater can be tricky to install into the heater and dielectric grease has to be applied to the heater before you install it in the bore for heat transfer to the block. I say it's about an 8 out of 10 in difficulty.

P.S. Please ignore the instructions I posted. They are for the old style heater and the new style is completely different.
