TRD Pro vs all other trim levels

The TRD PRO suspension is a coilover and has the coils and shocks. You would not need anything else I believe.

In response to your original post, there’s been several responses that were not accurate. In addition to the cosmetic differences between a Pro and the other models is a tundra specific, off-road, suspension. This can be added with OEM parts for around $2,500.00 +/-, or replicated for a bit less than this. This is no minor difference.

also, regarding your wish for lockers, I suggest you wait, at least, until you have experienced not being able to climb some obstacle with the factory system. It’s amazing and very capable.

get the winch. It’s handy for lots more than self rescue; retrieving firewood, clearing roads, etc

 

Thanks that is great I had just priced these out on Sparks came up with a totally different amount.

I checked that kit part number. The Sparks Toyota website shows part number no longer available.
It also shows it a TRD pro suspension kit for a 2019 Tundra.
Wasn't the Fox TRD pro suspension new for 2020, which make me wonder if that old PTR61-34190 kit wasn't the bilstien setup and not the new fox setup.
Which might be why the prices come up so much different.

That makes since on the front.

What about the rear leaf springs and the rear leaf shackles(different shackles could alter ride height) .
Are those the same on the Pro as any other model Tundra's?

 

Fox shocks were added in 2019. It has been said around the forum that they parts cannot be ordered without providing a TRD Pro VIN, and that is why they cannot be purchased. I cannot confirm or deny this; just what I've seen around on the forum.

99.9% certain that the only thing different in the rear are the shocks. There isn't a different ride height in the rear for the Pro vs any other trim. The front gets leveled, but nothing in the rear changes for height.
