I feel that, I'm all about tow mirrors I have the Toyota ones and having the blindspot mirror makes visibility 10x better. I just find the gm ones to look out of place on a Tundra.

Perhaps depends on where you live? I'm in AZ where its sunny 300+ days of the year. It's happened to me several times. It's annoying as hell.

    1) 4 door trucks with small boxes are just chevy avalanches
    2) Toyota paint is thin a chips easily (true, not opinion)
    3) Black is the best colour because with Black I can look like a rebel while blending in with all of the millions of other black trucks.
    4) Column shift is better for big n tall people because it allows me to man spread and keep my truck-nuts from turning to dagobah swamp-nuts.
    5) NIssan Titan is better than Tundra

As to #2, it sounds like all manufacturers have thin paint these days. It's one of the top complaints Consumer Reports records

My good buddy works at a body shop. He says toyota and ford are the worst in his opinion. From this winter I have a dozen stone chips that werent there in the fall when I bought the truck, there's even chips on the tailgate that are actually starting to rust. My wifes car hood is a mess of chips and missing paint, and both of us have worn through the paint on the door sills from getting in and out of the vehicles. Theyre 5 and 6 years old respectively. If they all do it that sucks, but I knolw toyotas suck in this regard for certain.

Haven't seen too much of this yet unless I'm not looking in the right places. The comments in the Car section of 9gag is much worse.

My vent rings blinded the shit out of me when my sunroof was open, so I blacked out or color matched most of the chrome in my interior. If you dont have a sunroof its probably not an issue.

I don't have the sunroof so maybe that's why i'm at a loss on the importance of getting rid of that chrome by the vent rings or shifter. The only blinding i get is when my wife will sit there on her phone for the entire drive and somehow manages to hold the phone at the perfect angle to reflect the sun directly into my eyes.

This is another reason for column being better...We dont have any chrome on our "console" its black plastic like the rest of the interior :)

What burns me is my wife pulls out her phone any time we get in the car to go anywhere, even if it's a short trip. However, the one time we were on our way to a dealership 200 miles away to potentially buy a new truck, she got mad at me because I was on my phone trying to do some last minute research and confirm the highest price I was willing to offer instead of talking to her.

    :threadjacked:

Sorry. Back to your previously scheduled programming now.

The back up camera being off centre causing the lines on my screen to be zig zag drives me up the wall.

I'm really enjoying airing out my complaints! It's like an AA meeting

Mine are red, and when the weather gets nicer I'll be painting my rusty calipers red as well. I dont care if I'm too old for it, I like a little hint of colour peeking out

If I could guarantee it wouldn't chip or flake off at the first -40C and snow, I would paint mine too. At this rate, I am repainting my tow hooks every 6 months.

I painted my tow hooks late winter, we never got proper cold this year so it didnt seem to have an issue. They are small enough that I dont think paying a shop to powder coat would cost much...
