A few years back when I was fat.
Was in the whisky aisle, and Brad Paisley was next to me. I started laughing and said “You’re not Brad Paisley right?” He had neon green or orange Nike’s that threw me off.
He laughed, and said - yeah, that’s me! And shook my hand. Bullshitted with him for a bit about the local whisky - I was buying a good bottle for an employee exiting my company. Brad turned me onto Angel’s Envy Finished Rye. I bought one for my employee, and one for myself, just because Brad recommend it. $260 later lol.
He was an incredibly nice guy. I told him about my daughter named Paisley - but not named after him. LMAO

On the way out of the store he stopped me and said - “good luck with your daughter!”

There was only 4 other customers in the store at the time, none of which had any clue who he was.
I think he appreciated me not freaking out and just being normal and shooting the shit. I didn’t even want to ask him for a picture, but I pulled out my phone and his band guy wasn’t doing anything lol.
Brad was buying a ton of good whisky for his crew.

In 1993 I rode up a chair lift in Aspen CO with Kirk Douglas. Nice guy.

 

My sister is friends and business partners with Mila Kunis and my brother-in-law is childhood friends with Seth Green. My sister and her husband are also friends with Ashton Kutcher, Macaulay Culkin, Sarah Michelle Geller, and Freddy Prinze Jr. Their wedding was a who's-who in Hollywood. You should have seen the bachelor party though... that was crazy.

So, on many occasions, I have hung out with all of them.
At one point Mac and Mila were big into World of Warcraft. We were all in the same guild and they took us to many Blizzcons and we got the VIP treatment there.
And there was another time that Mac and Mila came over to my mom's house and we all sat in the back yard eating BBQ. That was surreal. My mom corrected Mac's behavior and told him to watch his mouth at her table. That was funny.
Mila also went to my wife's bachelorette party.

I haven't seen any of them in a while since I moved out of California.

He has a child with Michelle Philips, they were an item for many years, they came to my mom's house many times for Thanksgiving and holidays. She was really down to earth person, even helped in the kitchen cleaning up and stuff.

When my Wife and I vacationed in Vegas one year he got us tickets for the Tonight Show when Wilson Philips was on. We drove over to LA and got the Green Room treatment and were able to meet Chynna Philips after the show. Very sweet girl.

Oh and I got Jimmy Buffett's autograph at the hotel restaurant down in Charleston.

Dad was high ranking in the Marines so I've been able to meet the previous four presidents excluding our current (dad's retired now). GWB was by far the most down to earth and easiest to just chat with. They were all amazingly nice and very very personable. Super cool.

Was backstage at an "Up in Smoke" tour, literally 15 feet from Snoop Dogg, but didn't actually meet him.

There are a few others I'm missing. I loved being able to do this as it got me laid more than once in highschool - On top of just being an awesome experience in and of itself.

When we met Monkee and John Davis from Korn (wasn't and still am not a fan, but cool experience) it was during an annual summer concert series in SLC called the Big Ass Show. This was like 1996 or 1997.. Some thrift store had brought thousands of stuffed animals to the concert to sell for $1 each, which would go to charity. Everyone was buying these stuffed animals and tearing them apart, so there were stuffed animal pelts and guts EVERYWHERE. After the show we were cleaning up backstage and Monkee came out and asked us if we had a cigarette. We were 16 and didn't, but we were able to find him one. He sat on a chest and BS'd with us in a sea of stuffed animal pelts and cuts. Really laid back guy, complimented our awesome "rock and roll" wannabee attire. Just a nice dude. Fun experience.
