Seeking information from this vast storehouse of knowledge. Here is the situation: My 2017 SR5 TRD has Bilstein 6112/5160; truck sits level with 1.5" front stock rear. I will be getting new wheels/tires soon as my current wheels are worn out. Im on 20" wheels with 275/55r20 tires now but will be going 17's. My original plan was MR701's (0 offset) with BFG KO2 305/65r17. My reason for that size was to maintain stock shift points and minimal loss of hp and low end torque- I will not be re-gearing... With that most people say that tire size is a bit small for the Tundra - afterthoughts and contemplation has lead me towards 295/70r17 or perhaps 305/70r17. I would like to know thoughts/experience on if this will "require" re-gearing; also, I may sacrifice the 0 offset and go Icon Rebounds with +25 offset to hopefully accommodate fit. Thank you and stay safe wherever you are.

    Look into a 285/75/17 IMO.

You don't even need to regear with 35s, but driveability does change.

But.....nitros got 19% right now....might as well go 35/37 and regear lol

Thanks. I have considered 285/75s but really like the 12" width. I have no plans to regear anytime soon. Thanks. How do you like the rock Warriors? I found some used that I am considering...

Love them, clear 35s no issues. They look good IMO. Toyota wheel, so wont run into balancing issues from hub size differences, etc. Only problem with them is they are $ lol. If you found a set for a good price, I'd pull the trigger. If you pass on them, I may be interested in picking em up.

Width is just as important to consider as diameter. Width increases friction/rolling resistance.

Thanks. Let me think about it for a bit- if I don't pull trigger on them Ill let you know. Optimally I will go for it - would probably get new center caps and maybe have rings powder coated and perhaps wheels (burnt bronze may look tough with MGM)... that drives the price up a bit though.

FYI 285’s no lift..PlastiDipped the rings and caps. I have a 3/1.5 lift now with the same tires. 35’s soon?DD201B83-AF0B-4032-B901-79FFD2613811.jpg

285/70 was stock size on a RW.

35s will fill that wheel in nicely
