Picked up a little over a week ago. Awesome truck, but I can’t help myself when it comes to adding mods. This is right after taking it out for an ops check on the 4wd and suspension.

The dealer already had this safe installed, but I would have added it anyway. It’s nice to have some piece of mind when you have to leave CC or valuables in the truck.

A must install in my opinion. Don’t understand why Toyota keeps wasting this space, but I won’t. Easy addition from ESP truck accessories.

I think this is a must have if you aren’t going to be doing heavy off-road. The improvement in handling is too good for the money. Yes it is obnoxious red, but who cares?

I didn’t take a pic while I had it torn open, but this is also a must. As soon as I read the thread in this forum I walked out to the truck and shook the rigids and yep they were loose. Easy fix with tie straps.

I straight up hate these. They are gone when I find the right replacement. Leaning towards sliders. I don’t want steps hanging down.

The other glaring issue I have with this truck is the terrible JBL stereo. It seems to have no range, zero power, and they say there is a subwoofer behind the backseat but I can’t tell. Straight garbage. In my last truck I went with the plug and play OEM Audio Plus package, so I’m going with their JBL/enhance kit with duel sub boxes. Their sound quality is excellent and I really enjoy their plug and play harnesses. I’ll post up some pics when I do that install.

Nice! Welcome. I guess I lucked out with my fog lights - they don't wiggle at all.

When my tires wear out, I’m going to plus up to 285/70/18. Looks pretty good on your truck

My JBL enhancement kit came in from OEM Audio Plus this week. I decided to do some sound dampening while I did the install. Ended up taking a day to do all the doors and then a second day to do the back and install the dual sub boxes.
I started on the doors. Used a full sheet on the inside of the outer wall, then applied selective areas on the outside of the inner wall.
This is the JBL 6x9 in the front doors. Pretty underwhelming. Might get replaced in the future.
The craptastic JBL subwoofer. I couldn’t even tell this thing was in the vehicle when playing music.
Putting this crap on the back wall was 10 times easier than the doors.
Both boxes mounted and wired up. Tight fit behind the back seats.

Overall I’m pretty happy with the results. Sound is definitely improved. Road noise has been reduced. The doors have a really solid feel when opening and closing. The tweeters and subs from the kit really give the sound system an upgrade.

Amp research makes probably the best running boards you can buy on the market. I put them on my last 3 trucks and now can't live without them. You open the doors they come down and when you close the doors they disappear.

I know it's been only a couple weeks since the post, but still enjoying the stereo upgrade? I had a 2018 Tundra and liked that better than my 2020 TRD PRO as well. There is absolutely no guts to it, so I'm looking to upgrade it.

I'm still satisfied with the upgrade. Better quality sound and a good amount of bass now. I can hear much more detail in higher quality music. It is not the type of upgrade that will blow your doors off, you would probably need to upgrade the amps and all the speakers to do that.

I considered the OEM Audio+ option and finally went with a package from @james@tech12volts and can’t recommend it more highly. It was about $500 less than OEM+ (with install) and easily outperforms in sound quality, volume and bass....I know the OEM+ system is nice, just not as nice as it can be for the $ they charge.

    Here’s what I have:
    JL RD900/5
    2 10w0
    custom ported box .
    Hertz K170 front and rear

Everything all in and shipped was $1150. Install by a local pro $400.

Bottom line: Sounds crystal clear, enough volume to leave your ears ringing for hours, more bass than a grown man needs. Completely stealth install. No one knows there’s anything but a stock stereo in the truck.

James and I discussed options that would be “better” than this and concluded it would require at least a $3k install to outperform this. Easily my favorite upgrade, including my Westcott lift and 35s.

Had some presents sitting on the porch when I got home yesterday.

Installed this morning. I think this is the perfect size for stock suspension. Could definitely tell a difference in the ride. Lovin it so far!

Nice! I just got Ridge Grapplers. So nice. I ended up going 35" and doing BMC and new wheels with 0 offset.

I can't stop upgrading mine. I may have a problem.

Right? Lol. Too much downtime lately has led to creating vehicle projects. I’m waiting on delivery of bora spacers and RCI rock sliders. SSO slimline bumper and winch after that.

Had to wait a bit for these, but they finally came.

    Before

    After

Had to take off front flaps. Still rubs at full lock in reverse.

Nice truck! The mod to fix that rub is pretty easy....I'm lame so I had a local Toyota master tech handle mine but here is a thread with links to a couple of folks that posted their experiences: https://www.tundras.com/threads/trimming-front-bumper-liner-and-mudflaps.63755/

If you take your time, it will look 200% stock when you are done. Unnoticeable to anyone who didn't lay down under your truck and look for it.
