    i've been doing some research on what type of audio upgrade i want to do and cant seem to find the answer to one of my questions.

    In the double cab if i go with component speakers in the rear where would i mount the tweeter part of the speaker or would you do components in the front and coaxial in the rear?

    Ive browsed ********* and tech12volts packages but i dont see the pictures of the rear or when i do its a crewmax configuration.

    yeah i hope it gets traction at some point. i'm not ready to upgrade yet due to funds but i like to plan things out :)

    You have to drill holes for the rear component. When I got mine from tech12volts I just had him send a pair of coaxial speakers for the rear (tweeter stacked with main cone in the door), and add components up front. You wont be able to tell the difference from the front seat especially if you upgrade the dash speakers

    So after looking i have the K170 not the X170. Looks exactly the same. I think 75w.

    Made my spacer out of 3/4 MDF and bought JBL door sails for the tweeters.

    Flip the adapter around! The speaker should be more positioned to the rear to line up with the hole for the door panel - as is ⅓ of the speakers is being covered up by the door panel. I did the same thing at first until I shined a flashlight through the speaker grill one night and noticed the speaker was not centered in the door panel hole.
