Calling all platinum tundras with 2019 TRD PRO grills

Hey y'all,

I am super interested in switching out the platinum grill to the 2019 trd pro grills. Can anyone who has done this mod post some pics? Hoping to see one done to a super white platinum. Thanks!

I haven’t done research for selling yet but how much are you offering? My trd pro grill comes tomorrow and I just picked up the truck late January.

Grill looks great! I ended up ordering the Pro grille instead of the Platinum.... What sensor on eBay did you order?

it was very good but a couple areas need to be redrilled which is to be expected. I would give it a 9/10

 

Any other parts you need beside the
Grille Garnish Sensor Cover?

 

The listing I bought from comes with the everything you need. Since you have a platinum you dont need the bulge or surround like the other cars with the chrome comes with. You only need the insert and cover, also depending on the grill something to hold the screw in place. I dont know the name of it but it came included in the grill

is the item you bought just the insert? I'd love to be able to just buy the insert, as my grille surround is already wrapped in PPF and ceramic coating.

Yes the link I posted was just the insert. I have a platinum so its already color matched bulge and surround so i only needed the grill.

 

Yes, and you also need the grill sensor garnish, which is ridiculously overpriced oem

 

If you have the time or have any pictures, I would like to do this on my platinum as well and just replace the insert. What is involved in doing this and how do you take the existing insert out and replace with the new one. I wanna know what I'm getting myself into before I purchase.

 

I was looking at this also. The sensor cover is almost the same price as the grille. If we don't have sensors, is the cover even needed?
