Overland rigs

where do you guys buy your overland gear/rigs from.

 

Ya gotta be a little more specific since there is no 1 supplier that has everything.

 

LOL. true that. well Im just getting started so im looking for basics. tent, rack, cooking equipment. Just want to be able to take my kids out for a weekend and spend some time camped out

 

Smitty Bilt has one of the most affordable RTTs. Gazelle makes one of the best, IMO, ground tents. A lot of the "go fast" guys use cot tents.
As far as racks, totally depends on what you're after. You can use bed bars from RCI or a full rack from Voodoo. Lots of options as far as racks go.
I find REI and Amazon are where I've purchased most of the "kitchen" type stuff.
Some like Front Runner storage boxes, I'm using MTM ammo crate from amazon.

Where are you located? I know someone that has a rack and RTT that isn't being used anymore.

 

-RCI has some nice products, racks, and excellent customer service.
-Free Spirit Recreation has nice Roof Top Tents.
It really depends on how much money you wanna spend.

I have found some great deals on gently used gear on Facebook marketplace and Craigslist.
