    Deep Quarantine Thoughts...

Is the section currently called “3rd gen” going to be renamed to 2nd Gen refresh?

It’s not just the forum...companies that specialize in aftermarket parts call 2014+ the 3rd gen as well, even though the Toyota XK50 model code (2nd gen Tundra) is for all 2007+ Tundras until the true 3rd gen is released.

Hey at least it’s not another MPG thread:notsure:

Until an actual 4th gen is made, it would most likely stay as 3rd gen

Great question. From what I can figure out is the entire site will immediately vanish. There's no way it will be able to handle it. Like Y2K but for real.

    It's been a fun ride. I will miss it.:boom:

My prediction (this is really important by the way ):

They’ll either absorb the 2014-2021 section into the 2nd gen section and call the next gen whenever it drops (2022 is the rumor) the 3rd gen, or...

They’ll leave all current sections named what they are and call the 2022+ model forum “Even 3rd gen-ier”

It could just be called the 4th gen so nothing else changed .Here’s something interesting the Toyota plants closed in Canada so maybe the 2020 will be collectable .

The Tundra truck that replaces the current truck with something totally new late in 2021 will be the 3rd generation Tundra.

    Mmmmm...Yeah...I could see that happening.

Huh? What? That's not even an English word! I could see a new forum developed for 2022+...maybe call it "3rd Gen Ultra". Or...maybe rename 3rd Gen to "2nd Gen Plus", and name the new forum "2nd Gen Plus Ultra". (That should make the 2nd Generals happy.) :D

We could just rename the current 3rd Gen threads as 2.5 Gen, or if they wanna keep it simple while also sticking it to the man, 2022+ Model year threads can be call 4th Gen.

I guess it will be the 4th gen because 95% of people and Toyota call 14+ 3rd gen.

Maybe we should all be grouped under Gen-T that includes all generations so we avoid any discrimination or racial/social over tones associated with any generation ? We shouldn't be forced into any specific group base on body style, engine size, paint color, lift height or tire size. The forum should be totally open with no boundaries at all....lol :)

Let's just follow the TLC's and rename eveything, XK30/40 (1st Gen), XK50 (2nd and 2.5 gen), and XK60 (2nd gen sequoia). BTW, does anyone know the difference between XK30 and XK40, I wonder if it is 4x4 vs 4x2, or base SR vs SR5+, Tundra vs Sequoia?
