I've gotta 6" Readylift kit on my 16 and the Fabtech uppers are uniball style. My tech cannot get the balljoint of the SPCs to fully insert into the top of the spindle. See pic.

Anyone else have SPCs with their readylift kit?

I’d clean both the UCA uniball and measure it and measure the mounting hole. Is it the right uniball you got?

Is it you can’t push them together to get that nut on ? Cotter key go in ?
Or shank on uni-ball widens before it seats all the way in on the shank of that uni-ball. Are you able to get the nut all the way on, cotter key it? , May need a ream.
I may be late to this party...

The top of the spindle is a straight thru design. The ball joint on the SpC is conical thus the need for tapering

Measure both old and new UCA uni -ball joints. At thread and about 1/2 up from thread end on shank and see if they are the same size

SPC support said he cannot officially tell me to ream the spindle but he thinks the amount is minimal enough that it wont compromise the strength

Your new spindle is part of the ready lift correct?

Toytec sells them and has a lot of good info they can respond fast here. The new spindle obviously doesn’t have the correct hole size if it’s minimal I don’t see why drilling it out would be an issue personally.

Talked to his main guy who installs. The ball joint may need to be swapped out. I'm thinking of just going back to stock uppers after all this.

This. It wont fully seat. Taper seems too wide but the part number on the ball joint matches what SPC says should be there. Only other option is to ream the knuckle with a correctly degreed taper (most likely 7 deg). I spoke to someone who designed the Readylift kits and he's adamant that I do not ream and instead I should either stick with Fabtech (since I had no issues, other than caster not being perfect) or put it back to stock. He is on 38s and runs stock uppers with aftermarket coilovers. He mentioned that the alignment numbers I need to be at are:

    Camber +.3
    Caster +2.0
    And toe +.07

Heads up for those of you with Readylift 6" kits.

I may return these uppers and do just that.
