With that offset of those wheels, probably 275/60 is going to be as big as you can go. Anything wider is going to be rubbing on your upper control arm. I had 275/60/20 on my truck with a +50 offset and I could just barely get my hand between the tire and UCA.

Zharris, thanks for the reply. Based on that, I've ordered Worx 18 wheels with a +18 offset. Looking at the Cooper Cooper Discover S/T Max 295/70r18. Think those will fit with the 3" lift and no rubbing or cutting?

I think they will. The only issue I can see with that size is possibly the front plastic liner. You'll be clear of the control arm and I don't think the skid plate will bother you either. When you turn the wheel all the way to one side, the tire may rub on the liner. But I don't know anyone with the 3" lift to measure for you. I'm thinking that'll fit fine though. I'm just not 100% sure.

I appreciate your help. Most of the off-road shops are telling me that 33x12.5r18 will fit without rubbing/cutting....but I've been misinformed by them in the past...sales are all they care about.

Well they might be telling you the truth this time. I'm running Nitto trail grapplers that are 285/65/18 but when you look at their specs the tire is actually 32.73" tall and 11.93" wide. I've got them on a +30 offset and they fit with no lift kit at all. It's close on a sharp turn, but they don't rub.

You will rub the front liner and the rear mudflap. And you'll be really close to the cab mount.

When I bought my Tundra it was already outfitted with 18" Rockstars. I did not like them plus they were 18" rims and that is a difficult tire to get in 35". Choices are slim plus I wanted 17" rims and before you ask, Yes the 17" METHOD (key word) Rims fit. They are tight but I did NOT have to grind anything.

So if you are interested in seeing what Black Rims looked like to what Bronze Rims look like, here's your chance.

Hello everyone, Happy New Year! This question is for anyone that has the Darrell Waltrip TRD rims. I can't seem to find the color name or code. I have called Toyota Corp. and they don't keep record of it. I could paint all four with some sort of metallic silver, but not all four need it. Plus, it's costly to have done.

Another question; I'm looking to replace the tires on it. Stock is 275/55/18. Can I up size while keeping the rims and suspension stock? If so, how much? What is a good tire w/o breaking the bank? I was looking at the BF Goodrich all terrain K/O 2. Nice looking tire with great reviews, but a bit pricey. Any thoughts? Thanks.

pcampos, go to sub forums. Click on wheels and tires. It has everything you need to figure out tire size for 1st Gen. I would give you the link, but my new phone is smarter than me. Also do you have a suspension lift or spacers on it, as that will help guide you to what tire or biggest tire you can go with. If you can't locate thread, someone will chime in at some point. Hope this helps

So after a lot of research and searching and guessing, i found that 17" Method Double Standards in 17x8.5 0 offset and 4.75 backspacing fit no modding needed on my BDS 7" lift.

I mounted them with 37x1250 BFG KO2's and I have to say they ride awesome. LIttle to no noise. Very nice ride, good grip in the rain (rained the first day I had them on)

Also Im running coach builders aftermarket tie rods and they fit and clear. Hopefully all this info will help others. As it took me months to gather info to make sure everything fit together.

So of course here are some pics!

I have standard steel wheels with P255/70R18 tires.
If I bought 18x9 wheels or TRD wheels, would I be able to move the tires over?

No idea how you got those wheels and tires on there with no rubbing. Did you trim it?

bilstein 5100's front and rear.. proform rear shackles with 1.75" lift cree led bulbs everywhere....
before i put the flares on, it had a slight rub only in reverse with the wheel turned... i removed that small flap on the front side of the inner well, but not the actual mud flap and it went away... i cant say enough good things about the tires, aggessive but ride nice
