Picked up my first truck.. 2020 Tundra Limited Black.

I decided to not do the TRD PRO Model and save money. I like some of the TRD Pro look but will not be doing any off road style etc..

Adding TRD parts to my Tundra Limited is not a no no in the community..? I want to make sure i represent the Toyota brand .

Let me know what you think would be great parts to add

That is okay to add all that good stuff even tho its not a TRD PRO MODEL? Toyota enthusiasts seem to add things even tho its not technically the "Model"?

    Thanks for the input!!

    Welcome from SoCal..

To convert your limited to a PRO look, you will need the following.

    - TRD Pro Grill / Garnish
    - TRD Pro suspension (PRO are 2" level at the front vs Non-Pro)
    - TRD Pro BBS wheels
    - TRD Rigid Fog lamps
    - TRD dual exhaust
    - TRD skid Plate

Honestly, i like the Grille better and it sounds like the Exhaust is also a better sounding one, and wheels.. Probably a few of the main things i like about the PRO! Got the metallic black limited so going to add some black badges etc.. Aggressive looking truck but didnt need all the Pro off road stuff! Sorry for the newby questions everyone, its my first truck so learning the ways

All good man, I was the same way just 6 months ago when I bought my first truck too. You’ll find a lot of great info on here, so just take your time to research and see what others have done, maybe keep a list of what you like / don’t like. The grille is an easy one to tackle, so a good place to start. Most folks on here tend to roll with the BAmuffler exhaust from @dirtydeeds, which is a fantastic system (there’s currently a sale going on if you’re military / first responder / hospital worker). Blacked out badging is also an easier mod — most people use TVD vinyl decals, or you can go with badge overlays (which tend to be a bit more expensive but look pretty cool). A lot of people also upgrade their interior trim with products from AJT Design (definitely a solid vendor), some use Tufskinz. There’s a ton of great info on specific parts in this thread, and all the wheel / tire info you could possibly want in this thread. But there’s no pretense of “pure trim levels” if you know what I mean, just make your truck your own.

Also, welcome from AZ! Post some pics of your truck when you get a chance.

I’m building a poor mans TRD Pro... bought a 2019 base SR DC 5.7/4x4 and have done the grill, headlights and wheels. Suspension is next but it’s turning out great.

Anybody modified the rear seats so the back folds down? If so, would appreciate your advice. Thanks

Completing the look with the TRD PRO bed stamp is gonna be pricey! But it's gotta have it to transform into a pro!

I am considering a partial TRD conversion vs just buying a TRD Pro.

It seems for March, after contacting multiple dealers they are much more willing to deal on the Limited and Platinum - basically ~8K off of MSRP via Carmax.com and not a ton of wiggle room on the TRD Pro.

Has anyone put in TRD Pro Fox shocks and TRD dual exhaust on a non TRD model? Yes I would love to get rid of the chrome, do the grill, but at the end of the day, I want the truck to float over the bumps, and I love the sound of the TRD dual exhaust.

Let me know if you have actual costs for parts and install for one or both of these mods. I am in no rush to buy, as I know there will likely be many great deals in the next few months, but curious if my 'plan b' is a viable option.

@Roman I have a 2020 Limited in Mesquite Brown and would like a black trd pro grill but not sure how guys are doing that with the BSM and stuff in the Toyota emblem and since this color isn’t offered in a Pro are guys just getting the surround in black.
P.s. shipping would be to 28080

The 2017 grille wasn't designed for it, but you can get aftermarket brackets. Or you could get a 2018+ Pro Grille that has a sensor pocket.

    Thank You Sir,

This is the first Tundra for me so am not too familiar with some of the applications.
I would like the newest model Black TRD for my 2020 Limited.

If you follow that link that Roman posted, the grille info and links to buy if from him are in the first post. I think there is a special for free shipping right now too, but I can't remember what the discount code for it was.

You can do whatever you want! I’ve got a 20 platinum and I’ve already ordered the 19+ TRD Pro grill. Best looking grill imo.

The Toyota community is great in supporting each other to mod and customize the truck to our liking. Not pretentious like the luxury car guys where you’ll get slammed for rocking a M or AMG logo.
