Like everything I found on the internet before this, it was more trouble than it's worth. The part is cheap and I couldn't find a better one for sale online. Here's some beta for you though
    I made a youtube vid: https://youtu.be/xRVvAW2g84o

I got my start from this vid: https://youtu.be/SYtliycn_zg

Headliner go back in okay without creasing it and stuff? Pretty silly design.

Coming from Gm trucks I somewhat understand the design. Sadly. Gm trucks have issues with leaky 3rd brake lights. Ram as well if I recall. So maybe that’s the reason. Thanks for the video.

What is the yellow? Odd how its not completely painted. Ok so why replace anything, burned out bulb? Why not do it, was supposed to be brighter and its not?

The yellow is the adhesive from the stock light. I thought it would be cool to replace it so that it matched my spyder head and tail lights. The cargo light seems to be brighter but the brake light is dimmer. I haven't actually driven it around since I did it today though so I can't say for sure.
The part doesn't sit flush on the truck and the bolt on the left snapped when I was tightening the nut onto it at the end. (so close!)
I filled the gaps with some adhesive and silicon and am hoping for the best. We'll see how much moisture makes it in there tonight after it snows.

I've done (2) cargo/brake lights on Tundras and they are a huge pain in the ass. I haven't had any issues with leaks on either truck, just the fact that I never want to do one again lol

Thanks for the video - all these grown ass men saying this is the worst thing every and you made it look relatively easy.

Do you have any pictures or videos of the lights actuating? I've been considering this same housing but with a smoked lens.
