    spoke to the embassy again this morning. this time the bureau chief answered the phone. totally different set of answers than what i received yesterday. his advice, get out of moscow as fast as possible.

    got roxy and her classmate from denver on an aeroflot flight tomorrow to jfk. currently on the phone with delta to try and get them from jfk to denver. delta is telling me there may be a restriction on minors traveling along domestically. she was surprised they were allowed to fly in from moscow.

    kids are going to have an adventure.

    embassy isn't helping. they would only help if all carriers were grounded in moscow. then they would charter flights for us citizens and the embassy staff. city of moscow government is functioning at a much more restrictive level than the russian federation at the moment.

    getting them from jfk to denver is proving more difficult. delta told me they won't pick up the kids because they don't have an association with aeroflot. which is bs since i just checked the website and they are in the same airline grouping, skyteam alliance. on with american at the moment. united would be easier since that's my main airline but they don't fly into jfk. no way i want the kids leaving the airport. may just book myself a flight to go pick them up.
