    We just had someone die in neighboring town. Unless you are considered “high risk” I would not worry too much about this. 80% of us will just get a bad cold. These measures are for the 20% and to not overwhelm the hospitals etc. My wife is a nurse practitioner on the front lines. Our exposure risk is pretty high but we are not concerned for us, but that 20%.

    well. holy crap. time to get roxy out of moscow. spoke to embassy. they were no help except to tell me which cities she could still fly through.

    currently on the phone with aeroflot. moscow to jfk. then i've got to call delta and get them on another flight jfk to atl to den.

    this is going to be quite an adventure for her.

    spent 45 min on the phone with a woman at the embassy in moscow. they can't do anything. she was very clear about that. the only possibility, and it was a long shot, would be to get a flight then hire one of their medical contractors that they use for medical evacs. she said the embassy won't even pick her up.

    neither bec nor i are worried. she and her friend will not be the only ones left at the academy. we know of several others, one of them is from venezuela, that are not able to leave either. the academy will take care of them. if, for whatever reason, the academy needs to close, we have a close friend in moscow that will be able to take her in.

    what? t.com has private jet?
